See you during the application round!
♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?
♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!
♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!
♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!
♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

( ooc: alternatively, she could have hidden in a barrel among supplies to be loaded onto people's ships! )

Quietly he stood in the storage area, completely veiled from sight as he watched the young woman climb out of the barrel she had been hiding in. It wasn't until her feet hit the floor boards that he become visible again.]
It's quite poor manners to board a ship like this.

she's going to start a little (a little) in surprise but quickly regain her composure and then in one smooth motion, stepping aside and then turning to position the barrel between herself and the hapless victim / charm school teacher (who even bothers lecturing about manners on a ship? yeesh, from what she's seen, spitting overboard was the height of shipgoing etiquette. kristoff had been so horrifyingly right) and then - wait what was she supposed to be doing before she went into that tangent about spitting? oh yeah, smooth fluid motion, barrel... barrel! pretty important in her plan what with her using it as a shield, obstacle and something to kick right into whoever it was that was behind her.
and sure that seems a little like an unreasonably violent thing to do to the - seriously what is he, an aspiring governess? or the male version thereof? but she's really taken her adapt or get hauled etc. mantra to heart.
this is how it actually goes:
she yelped, tried to do the smooth turning step but ended up hopping behind right into the barrel and knocking it over and into another empty barrel that just starts a veritable cascade of barrels falling and then rolling everywhere.
she cringes and wonders if there isn't a way she could lose him if she laid down and rolled along with the barrels. ]
Ohhhhh no. Oh- stop rolling- please oh-
[ instead she takes to trying to run around and stop the some of the rolling barrels with her foot. when she stops none of them, she finally turns to face loki and with a cringe says- ]
I'll put them all back where they were, I swear!

Now is your chance. You'll likely stay on the Captain's good side if you do not ruin her cargo. She is not a forgiving woman, when it comes to her goods.

[ hey even after all this time, the abilities of the other people in this place surprise her. ] Wow, that was amazing! Sorry, you must get that a lot. Or... do you get that a lot? I don't get that a lot or see that a lot I mean so- [ she shakes her head ] Sorry. Again! I'm supposed to be thanking you. So. Thank you. I don't think I broke anything and I went for the empty barrels. I checked! I mean some of those smells were practically tangible but still. Mostly empty!
[ and then she pauses uncertainly ] Er, you're not going to ask me about what I was doing in a barrel, right?

The thought had crossed my mind. There are more direct ways to get a ride on a ship. Especially in this world, where most any crew is willing to take on a new crew mate when approached.

rap on the inside of a barrel. maybe she can convince whoever it is that it's possessed or something
ok aside from coming up with a plan b, she really should come up with a better plan b. ]

[ that's totally reassuring ]

Uh, hello? Is somebody in there?
no subject
Yo.

[ she offers up a strained smile and then blinks at him. he doesn't seem all that surprised or likely to react violently so he's already her favorite barrel-discoverer (if that's not a thing, it is now). she bites her lip, wondering if she was really just that lucky or if this was just a prelude to things turning bloody. whichever it is, she has to say something. ]
Um. This is a dream and you're asleep. [ weakly ]

[barrels are a great mode of transport so he's not really surprised but]
Hey could you check and see if there are any tarantulas in with you?
no subject
Tarantulas?! Why would there be- [ she'd involuntarily jerked in surprise, causing the hem of her skirt to brush against the skin of her leg ] I think I just felt something!
[ she immediately struggles to get out and ends up tipping over the barrel ]
no subject
Let me see!
[and then he tries to crawl in there with her. Well one out of two ain't bad]

[ and whatever else she might have said will have to wait until after she stops them from toppling over. she leans back to avoid getting his feet in her face ]
This is not a barrel built for two! Wait don't grab that, that's my foot-
[ and she tries to heave herself out of the barrel. gravity, be kind and- ] Ahhhh!
