Sasuke had learned very early on that Kakashi's casual demeanour was not to be taken at face value, any more than the orange book was a sign of true distraction. He glanced across the square at the same time Kakashi did, though, taking in the parts that were still under reconstruction.

"I'd hide if I were him, too," he said, darkly, meeting the man's one visible eye with an assessing look. "I have no luxury to be away from our world for this long."
