Welcome to our first Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where players can test out their characters' voices, try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

[Luffy is also lost on an abanonded island without his crew. But the difference between him and Dustin is, he has a barrel. He sees the guy and approaches him, absently sipping on a coconut with a small monkey perched on his shoulder]

...No. Redbeard be a Turk, and I'm afraid I'm from naught but Bristol.

[Leo currently has the best boat. Ever.

Okay, so that's an overstatement. He just filched bits and pieces of other boats and bought a dingy to abuse. But yeah, now he has a mast that's a little taller than him with a retracted sail and rungs for oars. He's just letting the tides guide him for now, while he screws around with a map.]

Whoever thought to charge that much for this piece of crap is out of their minds...

[And then suddenly a glint of something out of the corner of his eye. Leo blinks up, and then shoves the map into his pocket before shifting over to squint at whatever he's seeing right now.

Also, it's coming towards him. Maybe it's a big fish, and he can beat it over the head with his oar until he has food!

More likely it's a monster, though.

Leo has the best luck.]

[Oh, crap! Zidane thinks to himself as he freezes in that momentary panic of being caught red-handed. But it is only a moment. He pulls the rock out of Luffy's pocket and presents it to him with a nonchalant shrug.]

You should be more careful, you almost dropped this.

[Just a crummy rock?! He was hoping for something nicer.]

[Well, he looks like a kid, so better condense it.]

It seems like there's some sort of object that was broken that we need to put back together. If we do, there's claims it will grant a wish, but there's some danger lurking that we also need to be careful of.

More than nothing, but not as much as it sounds.

[ Well, she's known someone to be naive before but she had other things to make up for it at least. ] It'd still be hard to get along with someone like that.

It's named after a pirate from Earth, back in the days when seas were in use for piracy. I'm from the Sea of the Forest Star, then I transferred to the Sea of the Morning Star for a while.

-Once again, the hooded woman seemed reluctant to speak, just nodding. The act of paying for her food hadn't gone unnoticed... Who was this person?-

[Luffy hesitates as the guy speaks. Ah crap! Caught! But then he says to come closer and Luffy figures it's okay. So he shuts the door]

Ahh you surprised me! Are you a stowaway, too?

What does it look like I'm doing, looking for a crew, ain't I?

[Not that anyone in this place qualifies.]

[Head tilts the other way and shifts his hands to his pockets.]

I see. Yeah, heroes in my world are usually exceptional marines or something, but wandering independently isn't too allowed. [He sort of... glances away though because ahahahahah guess how often Smoker does it anyway? Hint: whenever the fuck he feels like it.]

What's the horde?

[Smoker's getting a few more looks tossed his way by various patrons of the bar.]

SHUT UP and go help pull the sails up! Breathing on my neck makes me antsy!

He flicked at a spot of green with one finger, dug it free and tossed it toward the side.

"Long enough in the saddle, it all starts lookin' edible." He broke off a piece with a sharp crack and popped it into his mouth, lips curling at the corners. "Includin' the saddle."

Strange how many of you are willing to openly admit it.

[Ah,　now this seemed to Ashura's eyes like a sort of person that sie was familiar with. Tall, broad, and not apparently much of a conversationalist, he still looked like he could carry his weight in a fight, or with manual labor. Sie smiled, warm and pleasant, able to be civil enough for two without much effort.]

Have you come here recently? [Sie was starting to get a sense for who had that look about them.]

He nods. "That can be treasure, too! Friends, dreams...important stuff." He puts a hand absently on his hat and tugs it down. "I'm looking for my friends, too. Maybe when I find them you can come with us for a while." Just for fun. It would be great to have more people to howl at the moon with.

[Oh god, he's going to be sick, why Grell.]

Are you having fun with the Death Surgeon? [Oh god, he's starting to look like a giant white and grey cat trying to pounce the damn jitte.]

[SPINS AROUND She could whip him with her hair with how fast that was.]

You are staying here! I'm going to my ship!

[ She looks relieved. As much as her forced poker face can anyway. ]

I almost thought a ship I know was named after you.

[ Her father's, actually. But announcing to someone that actually seems capable that she's the daughter of a pirate captain, even if not a sea one, doesn't seem like the best of ideas. ]

Why not? You're going to do whatever you want.

[Robin blinks, blooming a hand to slide her fingers through Luffy's tangled hair.]

A few days. Though I suppose you're asking why I'm older than you remember, no?

[Steers them a few more inches away!]

[Was she shy, Ashura wondered? Or could she not speak? Well, she could listen well enough, it seemed, so time would tell.]
