Welcome to our first Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where players can test out their characters' voices, try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

"Hey, you never know."

[Raz shrugs, flashing a small grin. Despite how much he pales every time he focuses on the waves, the psychic keeps his tone optimistic.]

"If you worked on making it a just a little extra sturdy than the average raft, you'd get somewhere I'll bet. But if you're dead set on sailing, why not go with any of those other guys?"

[allendsmeat]

Yeah probably.

[he peeks out the door again. It's a problem since he doesn't know enough to tell the crew from the enemy. Well if anyone comes in trying to attack he'll punch them and figure the rest out later. For now though he turns from the door and pokes through things, trying to find something to eat]

This place is pretty messy. [he picks up the spyglass and peers at the guy through it] Are you a stowaway, too?

"Oh! So you used to sail around even before you appeared in this worl- err! I mean--!! If for some reason you weren't from around here.."

[ERHEM. Well, he supposes it is hardly a secret that half the people who appeared here are not native to any of these isles, at this point.]

".. Any luck?"

[Man what he wouldn't give for some company or even one of the campers to talk to these days.]

No...no problem.

[He thinks. Whitebeard, though... But hey, that at least means there ARE some other people from his world here. Maybe he'll be able to find his crew after all.

For now he's casually looking away and pulling out a new cigarette, lighting it and taking a quick drag before speaking again.]

You know Ace, then.

Hmm... Last time I suggested the captain hire a maid, he suggested I take that job.

[He actually does it, too - once in a great while, just to see if he can find anything interesting. So far, the yields are not worth the effort.]

Me? Haha, no... [Casually leaning against the windows now, knife lowered but still in hand.]

Ah, I can't help but be curious... What are you looking for?

Do you have to wear an apron and everything?

[that would look kinda weird. But it might be fun. He starts checking in desk drawers for anything left over but there's not even a crumb]

Something to eat. I don't think that jerk left anything around though.

[humph. Not fair. He was hungry!]

Nope, not yet! I'm just making it NOW so I don't have to later!

Huh?

[Yeah, he's not following. Because getting into a barrel and sailing off into the horizon is not a logical thing that would come to mind. :|]

Of course we need a ship. How do you expect to find Nami-san and Robin-chan without one?

[PRIORITIES. They have other nakama?]

[His eyebrows go up a bit, and he can't help but laugh. Well okay then!]

Man, you're determined. Alright, guess we'll make it work.

But it's more fun this way isn't it~?

[He had plenty of practice with Alice. Though now he feels a bit weightless as he was picked up and continues to purr. Letting out a few mews and meows up at her at the petting.]

But I want to hear the answer though, babe. [Oops! A slip of the tongue but it matters not. He is getting pets and a familiar face is holding him. It doesn't matter if it doesn't get any further than this.... This was just something he needed. That and a few riddles mixed in.]

No matter what you said, I can still worry about your face and believe me when I say that you are cute.

[Oh, he's bowing! Pinkie is well practiced in being polite...okay that's a lie. She just knows when to bow when Princess Celestia or Princess Luna or Princess Cadance comes. So she bows as well, because he's doing it!

She hears him say something at the end of her name, which confuses her.]

No, no, no! Pinkie PIE! Or just Pinkie is fine!

... So far: no. And I'm not planning to bring that up.

[Really... If it ever came to that, Izaya would politely retire.]

Nothing at all? That's just inconsiderate to stowaways everywhere.

[There's another loud bang, shaking the ship. Izaya is annoyed more than worried, at this point.]

We can use the barrels. Or I can make another raft! It'll be fun!

[clearly he has all the best ideas. This is why he's captain]

I mean, I want a ship, too, but it's gonna be hard to get one without any money.

[darknessinside]

If it's gonna get me home, then I'm dead set on sailing.

[Looks back at the ships again.]

It probably would be best to join up with some others... Are you planning on setting sail?

[allendsmeat]

[it really is. Luffy is about to say so when the ship is hit again.]

No good. I wanna fight.

[hmmmm]

Hey, knife guy! Can you tell me who is crew and whose not?

You have an answer for everything, don't you you d-little rogue?

[She had only barely been able to stop herself from calling him dashing, or darling, which was the last adjective she wanted to use with him right now. She was supposed to be mad at him after all! Still... she supposed that perhaps he simply hadn't known better.]

I think you had better be a bit more wary on what you call me in the future Mister Cheshire Cat... but I think I can at the very least give you a second chance. Ask before you make any bold gestures like last time, or it shall be your last chance, understood?

[Her tone may be harsh, but the way she gently stroked her fingers through his fur was most certainly not. The only reason she was so harsh on him in the first place was because she rather liked him anyways... he just needed to learn to be a bit more civilized.]

[He wants to fight? Well, be Izaya's guest - but, oh, it's never that easy, is it?]

You want to save the crew of the ship you stowed away on?

[Interesting... This guy is getting ever more interesting, really.]

Well, in that case... who would I be to stand in the way of such a noble deed?

[Izaya waves a hand at the door; stowaways first! A living shield is better than none.]

I'll tell you yes or no, 'kay?

[ON THIS SHIP SOMEHOW.]

[Wow, how had he not noticed that was Sora these guys were ordering around? But man, it's a relief to see him. Good to know he's not the only one who ended up in this world.

He jumps up onto to the railing near where Sora is mopping, crossing his arms and trying to hide his grin as he speaks.]

Are you actually doing chores for once in your life?

I appreciate the effort you've put in to noticing~! [She notices him nicking the wine and just grins. She wasn't that great at stealing secretively, but she was good at planning that out with her crew.]

If I did that, we'd be here for a millennia! Despite my reputation, I'm not the type to give away me secrets in one day~! Although, I will be curious to know your impression of me after some time has passed.

[Grell checks her sole pocket to see if she has a mirror, and...she does!]

Good thing I was here~! [She hands it to her.]

[Maybe she is being a bit harsh. She glanced at him apologetically.]

I suppose that depends on which you value more.

[The one he values more seems obvious, but she wouldn't put it past him to be bluffing.]

How long have you been on the island?

What about everything else?! [Really?!]

[nod! of course! Anyway he can't sail a ship on his own. But explaining that isn't important right now]

Yosh. [he marches toward the door and slams it open, nearly ripping it off its hinges and he cracks his knuckles]

Tell me who to hit first.

[Luckily, Robin expects such reactions, and the eye blinks out of existence as quickly as it was formed. Are those antennae growing out of his forehead? A decidedly feminine arm blooms out of Grey's shoulder and pokes at the base of one, equally curiously.]
