Test Drive for September 2013 Apps

Welcome to our first Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where players can test out their characters' voices, try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

Yeah. [he regards the guy a moment, idly picking his nose] What are you going to do?

hierkey? [weird word. The question, though, was easy] You have to decide you want it and find the one piece!

[ Now that was impressive, even from the ninja’s standards. Skilled in battle and seemingly some sort of spell-user or something of the kind? Yes, that could make her impressed, and when she scans the room just to see if there is anyone else interesting in there, she notices what would be guards of sorts. Two of them, she has already encountered after she killed a couple of men that she got into a quarrel with. She dropped a few pieces of cutlery (odd thing, these forks) to the ground in front of the stranger who had caught her eye, so he would look up and see the guards. They wouldn’t like to let any of the brawlers get away, after all. ]

[ She takes a step back, has a kunai in her hand and she’s glaring. But he’s probably already seen the signs of a Fuuma. ]

[ She’s still much bewildered, how is he doing that, really? Was he actually a spirit? ]

..that.

[ Looked exctemely stupid, and she almost smiled at the sight. ]

That too, but... it’s the thing that stands out the most.

[halfbakedninja]

Yes.

[ That’s what she said. ]

OI BLUE COAT! [and when the guy looks over, Luffy punches him hard, his arm stretching to meet the distance. The guy flies across deck, smashing against the railing. He yanks his arm back and it snaps back into shape with an elastic sound.

Some people stop fighting, startled, and Luffy gets an idea. It's too much work to ask knife guy for everyone so he moves out into the open, picking up blue coat again who looks startled]

Oi! Anyone who is this guy's nakama, stop fighting or I'll send you flying!

[there is the sound of a click and Luffy glances to the side at the pistol some pirate guy is holding to his head]

[ Such a cruel, cruel girl. ]

Naturally, because you would be the first one to go around and greet everyone. And yet, you have not, have you?

[silvergoldengun]

Cursed, you say?

[silvergoldengun]

[ No problem, he’s used spending time around people (non-humans) who wouldn’t know if a woman was a woman even if her chest was bare and she had huge breasts. ]

Just for a few days, how about you?

[ No problem. Just ask him to talk, and he’ll talk a lot. He’s good at that. ]

“I’m not quite sure, most of all, it’s a feeling.”

[ Lying through his smile teeth. ]

“Not everyone’s gonna be trouble, I’m sure.” He smoothly fish matches out of wherever Hijikata had them. Lit it, and lit the pipe for him. He grins. “Different people have different use.”

Had it been sentient, Basco wouldn’t have caught it. Probably. But he’s never had high morals, and he is not at all the nicest of people, even if he had become what he was for reasons good enough for himself.

“Most interesting. I’ve never met a human that looks like you before.” Maybe it would be more normal to say ‘no way!’ or something like that, but Basco is not normal, and he gets intrigued by the oddest of things. “But I haven’t spent that much time on Earth, so I suppose it’s not impossible that I just missed any that might be around.” No, not really, he had seen enough of humans to know that it would have been widely known if a human looked like a skeleton.

[ooc: Yes, it is. Even rarer to find people playing from them, I’m sure. I’ve never seen anyone play Skulduggery before. I’m at it, some bit in. I really like ittt.]

Ehh?! Really?! That's so cool! I bet you've seen a lot of really cool stuff! Tell me about the awesomest thing you've ever seen!

[ Not at all, he probbably skinned all his costumers anyway. ]

Yeah, I’ve had a lot of practice.

[silvergoldengun]

Basco is fine. [ He giggles slightly. ] Yes, I am. Only some ships look like this in space. My own was quite different, however.

[silvergoldengun]

[ He's likely not. The worlds are filled with weird things, after all.. But he'd rather not hang, even if he has no plans of returning to his own world. What use is it when you're already dead there? ]

I guess so. But I don't care how you sea pirates look at me either.

And what are your rules?

[halfbakedninja]

[ She gave him a confused look. ]

What about me?

[allendsmeat]

[Oh! He forgot he still had that. He eats an apple]

I helped shopkeeper lady put them on the cart and she said I could have one cuz they're mostly all bad. [munch munch] But still tasty.

Want one?

[allendsmeat]

What does yours look like? [he leans back on his hands and claps his feet together absently as he waits for a story, and more importantly, food]

Sounds boring. Not even any giant tigers or anything? [what is the point of an island if there aren't giant tigers?]

[allendsmeat]

Eh?! [shock!] Are you actually a crossdresser? You're really good. I can't even tell!

[halfbakedninja]

[ She had been talking to herself more than to him, so she's surprised when he speaks. She blinks, tilts her head in his direction. ]

Is that so.

[ So she'll go with that, then. Because she's got difficulties deciding for herself. ]

[allendsmeat]

I'm Monkey D. Luffy, a pirate! [grin grin. It was kind of hard for this guy to be a defective but...] Don't worry, you'll find something you're good at.
