Welcome to our first Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where players can test out their characters' voices, try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! ♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

As for assisting you, I am currently not promised anywhere. [Don't ask about his problems with the other ships. Just... don't.] Though I warn you, I'm not so much a fighter as a healer.

[Marco just steps closer, tugs Ace into a one-armed half hug around the shoulders and lightly punches him in the temple.] I don't know where this is or if I'm going to wake up in fifteen minutes, but let's say you and I have some fun, eh?

I expect to get back to my nice, well-equipped sailboat at the back of the ship because I don't come unprepared. So... it's been fun, but the wind's in the sails for only so long.

[ ... and then he takes a deep breath before thrusting the flaxpaper over his head once more, taking off in a dead sprint toward where some NPCs poor, unsuspecting bastards might be found. ]

You knew this was going to happen.

[He hears that annoying idiot braying like a jackass. And he sees him, too, where he's standing at the docks, where he's rowing by on his little raft.

Idiot.

But an idiot with a raft and the ability to get the hell away from everyone on land.

For a moment, Hector looks to those surrounding the docks and milling about - not a sailor one - and to Jack on his little raft and his-

Is he seriously flying his colors on that thing? He is.

But to Jack, to the people milling around, to Jack-

And he says absolutely nothing as, for the first time in anyone who knows him's recent memory, he reaches up and pulls off his hat, so as to keep it close at hand, before he just...Takes a running leap off the docks. And when he surfaces, he strikes out in a rather quick breast stroke, fully intent on reaching that stupid little raft.

To be perfectly honest, he'd rather be stuck with the unfairly lucky Jack Sparrow than any of those fools.]
