Welcome to our first Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where players can test out their characters' voices, try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

SO FREAKING LATE. Tachibana Makoto | Free!

[ Makoto is new to this world and, as stated by the choices for subject matter, he is wandering around the Town Square! He is extremely unsure and slightly anxious about being suddenly removed from everything that is familiar and plunked into a new place by himself but nonetheless, he creeps around cautiously.

Which, he soon finds, offers him little solution to his problem so he decides to ask around to try and find out if he was sucked into a horror movie or died in his sleep. ]

Excuse me? Anyone?

[Sitting on the fountain ledge in the town square, deep in thought trying to calculate his new exact location based on the movement of the sun, and assessing any cultural clues around him...when he his train of thought is broken by a sudden familiar voice.]

[He quickly stands up and responds probably over-enthusiastically.]

Makoto-senpai?!

[notsokillerwhale]

[ He quickly turns around when he hears his name and sees a familiar face! Almost immediately, most of his worries are washed away!

...until he realizes that his worries are washed away in the ocean which is kind of a scary thought so then some of them come back. However, not enough of them to mask his excitement and comfort of seeing his friend and he runs over to him! ]

Rei! You're here too?? Are you all right?

[worksintheory]

[Takes a deep, cleansing breath, not realizing he was so anxious in his new surroundings until hearing his friend's greeting.]

Makoto-senpai. I seem to be physically well. However, my calculations as to where we are have not made any sense.

[Also has a rumbly stomach, but he ignores it]

[ He looks around as well, a confused expression on his face. ]

Your calculations...?

[ Oh Rei, you and your calculations. He's going to shake his head at you and not mask his expression in the least but he'll keep any judging words to himself. ]

So you have no idea where we are either?

[worksintheory]

Not in the slightest. This place is not beautiful at all.

[frowns slightly, looking around at all the old cobblestone buildings and not-so-friendly looking people]

Do you think the others are here? Perhaps if we set up some kind of smoke signal they could see it! But I guess in a town square that isn't the most logical choice. There is this fountain [gestures to it], maybe Haruka-senpai will be drawn here by the sound of the water.

[notsokillerwhale]

[ It's definitely comforting to him to listen to the familiar sound of Rei being such a spaz. He smiles lightly and nods. ]

It's probably better if we don't start a fire in the middle of the town.

[ Glances over at the fountain and lets out a defeated laugh, fondly thinking of Haru in the fountain swimming around in a circle like a Betta Fish. What a weirdo. ]

That would be a likely spot to find him. And if you're here, the others are probably here too!

[Looks back to Makoto with a sudden idea]

Maybe I can sit on your shoulders and we can see if there is anything worth exploring outside of this square!

[ Well, he kind of wanted to check the fountain first but--

Is this guy serious? ]

[notsokillerwhale]

[ Oh Rei. You rapscallion.

He's going to try to completely shut down your idea while not making you feel like a total fool. ]

I don't think we'll be able to see over the buildings with just the two of us...

[worksintheory]

Then I'm out of ideas. Unless we just asked someone.

[Feels his stomach rumble again]

And maybe get some food.

Are you hungry? [ HIS FRIEND'S PHYSICAL WELLBEING IS IMPORTANT TO HIM.

Makoto looks around. ]

I bet we could find something here for you to have. Do you still want to stand on my shoulders to look around this area?

[worksintheory]

N-no, of course not. I ate before I got here!

[Doesn't even really know how long ago that was...seeing how it was in another...continent/country/universe??? The calculations here are mind boggling.]

[Quickly changing subject]

Let's just explore. Maybe there is a pool around where we will find Haruka-senpai.

[notsokillerwhale]

[ He could have sworn he heard Rei's stomach growl and he could have also sworn that Rei suggested finding food and now the way he was acting was not really making sense! ]

Are you sure?

[ However, he couldn't pursue Rei's wishy-washy starvation for too long considering the topic of finding Haru had been brought to the table again. ]

There is still that fountain over there and the beach is right down that way. [ He pointed off to where the ocean obviously was. ]

If he's here, he's probably already found a place to swim... [ Said SO fondly with a hint of "OH HARU". ]

Beach...? [Clearly didn't even realize this was an island or even coastal.]

Of course! Let's check there, first! You know Haruka-senpai so well, he will for sure be there.

[notsokillerwhale]

[ He nods and gestures for Rei to follow him. He had been at the ocean earlier but he decided to relocate himself for obvious reasons. However, if it was a matter of finding friends, Makoto could deal for the time being! ]

We'll probably find a pile of his clothes before we find him...

[ Sigh. Haru is so dumb. He's probably freezing to death too. And once he gets to shore, he won't have a towel or anything to change back into and then he'll get sick again! UGH!!

Suddenly, finding Haru was slightly more dire. ]

I hope he's not too cold where ever he is...

[worksintheory]

[Definitely picks up on the sudden increase in urgency of Makoto's tone]

I'm sure he'll be fine. Wind speeds are low currently, the sky is clear, and I'm sure these waters aren't shark infested or anything... [Trying to reassure Makoto, really!]

He could even be with Nagisa already. [Pushes up his glasses and follows Makoto]

[notsokillerwhale]

[ Even thinking about the potential of sharks in the ocean leaves Makoto an even more uneasy feeling. Especially thinking about Haru out there... ]

You're right. They'd keep each other safe, I'm sure.

[ HIS WORDS ARE EMPTY AND MEANINGLESS BECAUSE NOW HE IS THINKING OF TWO OF HIS FRIENDS GETTING SWALLOWED BY THE OCEAN.

Slightly increased pace. ]

No freakin worries!

[allendsmeat]

[Luffy is sitting on a barrel, idly drumming his feet against the side of it as he sees the lost guy and he raises a hand]

Yo.

Consider my cares danced away!

[notsokillerwhale]

[ ...

And he turns to Luffy, not recognizing him at all. He is obviously polite to this stranger, giving him a light bow. ]

Ah! Hello! I'm...definitely lost.

[allendsmeat]

I think everyone is. Don't worry. Where are you trying to go?

[notsokillerwhale]

Nowhere yet, I'm mostly just looking for my friends and I think I"ll be all right.

[allendsmeat]

Me too! Hey, if you tell me what your friends look like I'll help look for them.

[notsokillerwhale]

That's very nice of you, we can look for our friends together!

My friends are a shorter blond guy with lots of energy, another guy with blue hair and red glasses and...well. Haru is probably wearing his bathing suit so he'd be easy to spot in a crowd.

...or not in a crowd. [ He'll just make a mental note to check every random inch of water on his own. ]

[allendsmeat]

Yosh! Okay! [looking for friends together is always a lot more fun. He hops off the barrel and picks it up under his arm, nodding at the descriptions]

It's hard to remember ordinary stuff like that. [he scratches his cheek] Do they do anything interesting?
