See you during the application round!
♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?
♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!
♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!
♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!
♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

[Which meant a couple of orders shouted to redirect two men to help bring the wounded below deck, Kyouya following with the first patient. He was of no use on deck during the fight, so he'd start doing what he could.
...Now he just had to listen to the sounds above him and hope that everyone -- especially Tamaki -- would be alright.]

He takes one last glance at Kyouya before he dramatically lunges at his enemy.]

He's kept his hands clean, washing them between every patient, but the rest of him hasn't been so well taken care of.
He emerges on deck once the state of the area below is under control. Hopefully a healer from another ship will be able to do more than he could. Still, he has a few tools in his pocket as he looks around.
Tamaki wasn't brought below with the wounded, so there must not be too grave an injury, but he still wants to see for himself. Make sure the other isn't wounded or that it isn't too bad if there is something.]

However, Tamaki was a bit careless. One of the ladies on deck was about to get shot on a vital organ. Tamaki couldn't live with his conscience if he allowed that. So he ran as fast as he could to push the lady out of the way. Unfortunately, it meant a bullet on his shoulder blade.
His bone kept it from sinking in, plus the fact that the gun used was low quality. He really should have worn something more even if it was un-elegant.
When he noticed Kyouya on his way up to the deck, Tamaki immediately hid his back, by leaning on the walls of the Captain's quarters. He tried his best to keep his most charming smile on his face.]
We won~!!

Congratulations. I don't think we've lost too many, but... we won't know until they recover.
[Even if he was doing what he could to prevent it... infection could still happen, and they didn't have the antibiotics he knew. Or hardly anything, really.]

[What he'd give for a long and quite bath. A hot spring was always in his inner mind theatre. But right now it was hard to focus on the thought of a warm bath. The wound on his back was throbbing. If only he could reach the bullet and pull it out.]
I hope... [If Kyouya would examine Tamaki's features carefully, he'd notice Tamaki's right eye twitched uncontrollably for a little less than 2 seconds. His right shoulder was really painful right now.]..they'll be okay.

Tamaki.
[His voice is very quiet, and his eyes focused on Tamaki's. A simple acknowledgement that he knows something is wrong. If you want to make him hunt up what's wrong... Well. He will.
But it will be so much easier for you, Tamaki, if you just submit now.]

Yes..?

[They had gotten good at reading each other. Tamaki had always been surprisingly good at seeing what other people would prefer to hide; Kyouya had too. And with a few years' experience now, he could even read the one who'd baffled him when they first met.]
What is it?
no subject
You don't have to worry.. really! [Just blood dropping onto Tamaki's brightly-coloured pair of pants.]
no subject
Show me.

He doesn't quite turn around, but he uses his uninjured hand to point at his right shoulder.]
It's not that bad... really?
no subject
Sit down and let me look at it. Keep it from getting any worse.
[He was getting more familiar with makeshift surgery than he liked. He'd never intended to be a doctor. Medical school, perhaps. But he'd intended to run companies about medicine. Not to practice himself.
Thank God for being the youngest and therefore roped in to help each brother study while they were in school. He'd learned a bit that way.]

[He sat down on the desk and removed the sash covering his shoulder blade. There was a round bullet still digging through Tamaki's pale skin. And the surrounding area was still burning from the point of entry.
He'd remove the bullet himself, but he had confidence in Kyouya's skill. He knows Kyouya's background, and he trusted Kyouya with his life.]

[Yet, even as he says the words, there's fondness to them. Concern, as well.
Kyouya takes out the small collection of tools he'd brought, though. He'd prepared, at least, for any minor injuries he found on deck. He also takes out two clove berries and puts them into Tamaki's hand.]
Chew.
[Natural anaesthetics.
He sets to cleaning the wound, using a damp cloth. Then, a paste of clove pulp is applied to the skin around the wound. Hopefully to numb it a little.]
This will hurt.
[The probe is not quite as effective as modern tools would be, but Kyouya does manage to extract the little ball, clean the area again, then wrap it carefully with bandages.]
T--There. [He won't admit to his voice faltering and seems barely aware of Tamaki's blood on his hands from dealing with the wound.] That... should heal alright.
[This was all far less jarring when it wasn't Tamaki wounded.]

[He gave his bestfriend the silliest yet most charming pout. Though he certainly felt Kyouya's concern. They've known each other long enough to know what every word and every change in tone meant.
He nods as he looked at the berry. He can only hope it doesn't taste awful.
Much to his disdain, it tasted awful. His face shifted in so many unelegant ways. But it was only Kyouya here, so he didn't hide anything.]
I'm ready.
[He tried to be brave, but even with all the numbing agents Kyouya used, the procedure was still too painful. The bullet dug through his muscles and the implements Kyouya used triggered his pressure and tactile senses.
He cringed and a few tears escaped his elegant face. His body trembled, yet he tried to keep his face as calm as he possibly can.
Finally, when Kyouya cleaned up the wound and patched it up, he tried his best to make a smile appear on his face once more..] Thank you, Kyouya..
[His expression was very gentle. He knows how hard this must be for Kyouya to go through.]
no subject
He'd have to change them in a few hours, but he would do it without complaint.] Wounds like that can get infected really easily, and we don't have the supplies here to fight that.
[It wasn't easy with Tamaki. Neither of them were rarely quiet and sincere. Certainly, Tamaki was always more sincere than he was, but there was always an element of the showman. Of someone who exaggerated everything but did not lie, so it was hard to say how deeply he truly felt about something most of the time. Kyouya did the opposite. He reacted so little, usually, and often only with a teasing insult that hinted at fondness under the surface.
But now, his voice was very quiet, and even as he tried to sound teasing, there was a little too much everything in his tone.]
If you get sick because of an injury, that makes it my fault, okay? So don't hide them from me.
no subject
You think it will leave a scar~!? [He immediately thought of it as a battle wound he can show off to everyone.
Kyouya didn't have to be as expressive as Tamaki, because every word and change of tone spoke to Tamaki instantly.] I'm sorry.
