Welcome to your monthly Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where new players can test out their characters' voices, old players can try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

[He says nothing until she's on the deck, safe albeit still wet. Ikki's not the most talkative guy out there, or even the most nice one with that basically permanent frown on his face, but when his speaks his tone isn't particularly rude at least.]

That wouldn't be a bad idea, but I don't recommend it unless you really need the exercise. Wait here for a moment, I'll go get you towels or something.

[He starts to move, but pauses after two steps and turns to her again.]

Want some food to go with that?

[As soon as his back had turned she had switched from her Sirenix form to her plain old civilian form. Quick changes are fun and easy. But when he spoke again she gave a tiny smile.]

Sure, why not. it's been a while since I ate.

[It gives him a pause when he realizes that she's not dressed the same way she was a second ago, but after a moment he just nods and leaves to go get a towel just in case and some food. Really, as surprising as it was, being in the same crew as a guy that transforms into a bird, a guy made of fire, and having himself an armor that could cover him in a matter of seconds, took away a lot of the rarity of those things.

When he returns he offers her a towel and a bowl with warm soup and a piece of bread.]

This is all there is for now, you'll have to wait for lunch time to eat more.

[And now that those things are covered...]

What were you doing floating alone in the middle of the ocean?

Thanks. [She puts the towel on her head and gladly takes the soup and bread as she sits down.]

I was swimming from one island to the next, but it seems my abilities here are limited somehow. It's totally not cool to limited a girls abilities you know.

Hn, you're not the only one limited. I wouldn't be on a ship if I could fly from one island to another. Guess someone is really set on having us traveling the traditional way.

[Sometimes it's really hard to not think that this all is just a god playing a game with them as pieces. Ikki eyes her for a moment before he shrugs, when he speaks his tone is serious, borderline rude for some people -specially those used to be treated with respect-, though right now he doesn't intend to be so.]

We're sailing north-west, you can stay with us and find a boat on the island there if you want to go somewhere else. Or just stay here and go wherever we go, doubt anyone will mind so long as you give a hand wherever you can.

[They will probably eventually ask who she is, assuming they realize that she hasn't been there the whole time. Ikki personally doesn't mind, though he's not the captain, of course, but what was he supposed to do? Let her float there? Throw her back to the sea? It's not as if they are lacking in supplies after all.]

[She keeps the bowl close to her hands. The feeling of warmth was nice right now. But she did raise an eyebrow slightly.]

You can fly too? [She had noted her ability in that area was also limited. Seriously guys, what the heck>]

Maybe it's someone cruel way of a joke, but I doubt that. [She does accept staying here for the meantime since she has no idea of what to do after. Maybe she could stay or maybe she could find her own boat and go from there, after all she is totally not use to having to actually work on a boat before.]

I'll stay for now, get my sea legs. Then we'll see.

[He simply nods at the first question, feeling no need to expand on it. After all he already said it, so it's probably just a confirmation.]

If it's a joke then it's only funny to them. If I were to choose I would say there are more chances of it actually being just a game someone has set up.

[He nods again as she accepts to stay for the meantime.]

I hope you don't mind parties, some of the people here are fond of them and will start one without notice if they feel like it.

[From his tone it's clear that he isn't one of those, he turns to return to his work but it doesn't take him far so he's still pretty much hanging around the deck with her.]

I'm all up for a party. So long as the beats are happening.

[Her it wouldn't be a party without music, at least in Musa's mind anyway.]
