Welcome to your monthly Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where new players can test out their characters' voices, old players can try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

Ships? Hmm... I have never traveled by ship before, there has never been any need.

We've got 'em at home, but they're a lot... different.

[Korra nods in the direction of the shipyard, not yet visible over the buildings, and begins walking in that direction.]

Companion?

Oh? What are the differences between ships here and where you are from?

[They're likely very different from the ships where Hy;ia is from too.]

The Loftwing that sat upon my shoulder not long ago. He's very independent and opinionated. [Translation: mouthy.]

[rebonding]

Our ships have engines. They don't need sails to move. But it seems like this place is decades in the past compared to where I'm from, anyway.

[That bird, huh? Korra grins.]

I've got a polar bear-dog with me! She can be a handful. Dunno about opinionated, but she does pretty well on her own.

[Of course, Korra doesn't realize that snarkbird can actually talk.]

Your ships sound a great deal like the ships we have in the Lanayru Province! [Yay! Similarities!]

A polar bear-dog? [That sounds... wait, what even is a polar bear?]

[rebonding]

Yeah! She's... just a puppy right now. [Why, Korra has no idea, but she'll take it.] But she's about this big- [Korra mimes something in her arms a little bigger than a particularly fat housecat.] -And she's covered in thick fur!

[And here she comes now, yipping and bounding across the cobblestones toward them.]
