CR → Zeref is only really likely to open up to characters who will be able to resist his Death Magic, which he can't fully control (at least, not all of the time). These are characters who either have ways of negating or defending against magic, have a natural immunity to it, or characters whose souls don't work the same as souls 'normally' (a word I'm using loosely) here. These can include characters who use a 'soul jar' (such as a Soul Gem in Puella Magi Madoka Magica), characters who souls aren't 'normal,' or characters who are either already dead (ghosts), or undead. Other than that, he'll refuse to approach a character willingly, for their own safety, and just prefer to talk over journals.
He's emotionally very fragile, and despite his reputation... he has a strong loathing for certain types of evil characters. Just ask Master Hades.

Phoenix Ikki is a difficult to deal sort of dude, not the social type and because of that is in dire need to be cracked out of his shell. He doesn't have many pings, though, but birds, deities, princesses, orphans and babies will sure get his attention. He can be cynical and definitively not the type to have high hopes in anything good, but deep down he's a softie with a big heart and very loyal to those that manage to slip through the shell, even if he doesn't like them.
Elizabeth Midford is a ball of sunshine out of the Victorian era. She's a lady and though her manners at times could be improved, she still knows to play the role. She's engaged with Earl Phantomhive and is a freaking genius with the sword, though she prefers to be cute and harmless. Unless you touch Ciel, that is. She's pinged by probably everything as she's quite a social butterfly and not shy to approach others. Clothing, animals, poetry, swords, duty, are things that will ping her along with any mention of Ciel.

INTERESTS → Mostly videogames (especially Samurai Warriors, at least in terms of what you hear me chat about a lot, but also history, most branches of science, myth, books, writing in general... oh, you know, I feel like giving a shout-out to one of the few manga I am into: Vagabond. If you love that series we should be friends.
CR → Mitsuhide is on the home island right now getting a ship with Motochika! The main aim right now is honestly gathering crew and working out the numbers for their new ship; the best thing about this is that Motochika is pretty much a master of sailing and shipcraftand not a pirate UNLIKE SOMEONE, so the two samurai hoped to take on board a handful of people with less sailing experience who want to learn. More experienced hands are welcome too, of course!
Mitsuhide himself is a gentle-hearted, softly-spoken man with a moral core and a hidden side of steel that only rarely peeks out. He's kinda naive... okay, VERY naive when it comes to others and tends to trust first, realise later that a man named the Demon King probably wasn't the best bet for building a land of compassion. Playing with that could be fun! Mitsuhide is also dealing with a ton of issues right now and really rather deeply depressed and prone to some very withdrawn periods, so anyone who wants to deal with that/poke at it and make it worse, hey, come on down!
Really, this soon into the game, I think ALL THE CR is what I am after, HEEHEE.

While adventuring and exploring aren't the usual modi operandi for Ms. Lutece, she is very interested in being able to study a world that isn't simply an offshoot or divergent timeline from her own. After she gathers the means to actually create any worthwhile--if incredibly basic--gizmos, of course.

CR → Motochika and Mitsuhide are currently looking for crew! Bellflower's summarised it nicely above, and I'll be posting ICly about it later today, but essentially Motochika's highly experienced on the water, which means that their ship is good for those lacking in that area. I'm open to any and all CR, beyond that – Motochika's interests include sailing, swimming and most things to do with water, music and performing (he's a master of the shamisen), all creative arts, your standard samurai business, looking out for Mitsuhide, and even hairdressing (no, seriously, it's canon). He's a self-assured man, a mix of mature and eccentric with something of a rebellious streak. He has a habit of challenging uncertainty he perceives in others, and he values conviction and compassion highly. He tends to be good for provoking self-reflection, as a source of stable support, or just a nice spot of rivalry.

Ban Midou - He's a retrieval specialist meaning his occupation is to get back anything that's been taken from his clients, for a fee. Ban is a very confident, sometimes brash individual who can be hard for others to get close to. He's not afraid of trying new things, and tends to get himself into a lot of trouble both for his actions and what he says to others. Right now he's on the L.Deuce :3! Oh and he also comes complete with super strength, 200 kg of gripping force in each hand, and his Jagan.. or Evil Eye ability that can make any living thing see a terrible or pleasant.. and very realistic dream.
Ciel Phantomhive - Ciel is a Victorian Earl, and despite his youthful age he despises being treated like a child. Back in London he investigates murders, kidnappings, disappearances all the time as Queen Victoria's watchdog. This isn't something that he advertises however. He also runs Funtom, a toy and confectionery company that is branching out into other markets. Ciel is a bit on the sarcastic and cynical side but he's able to put his best foot forward when need be. He's currently trying to start a crew of his own but hasn't had much luck finding any takers. So if anyone is interested in that, please let me know~

→ Izaya's canon hobbies include messing with people and maybe watching them commit suicide, because what better way to spend an evening? He's been lying low for the most part, settling in, but I'm open to all the CR for him. He's on Ganondorf's ship, so there's that. If you want to hire Izaya as a spy on that ship, he'll gladly accept, though what side he ends up picking will forever be up in the air. Izaya has a second journal under the name of Nakura, which he may or may not bug you with.
→ Rin has just arrived and is fairly pissed off, because how is he supposed to train in a place like this? And some of his loser former friends of which he's not jealous at all are here too?! Get out. He's been recruited for Motochika (the first)'s ship, when that happens, and I hope that will balance him a bit. Open to all the CR here too, both positive and negative, though I'd love it if he could make a few actual friends. Problem is, for him to try to be nice at all, they'd probably have to be younger than him, and most likely girls - and then why would he bother confiding in them, right? It would be onesided, but it would make for a nice break from his attitude. Chances are Rin will find creative ways to work out aboard ship, because he's damn well staying in shape. Crewmates who could also be exercise buddies? Bonus points if they fail and Rin can feel superior. >_>

INTERESTS → Video games, occasionally books. I mostly plurk about RP, but I might comment on something I'm playing every now and then. Fandoms include Shin Megami Tensei & Persona, Mass Effect, Ace Attorney, and obviously Tales of the Abyss.
CR → Jade is currently on the Alcyone, making his way back to Isle Empieza soon. He's a soldier with some scientific background and a rather morally questionable past, but makes up for the srs business by cheerfully trolling anyone he can get away with. He doesn't warm up to people very quickly, but he can be nice when he really wants to. Just don't expect to be spared from the trolling even if he does end up liking you. Plot-wise, he's interested in finding out more about the world and hopefully figuring out how and why they ended up here.
