♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

[Make a snowman the old way? With natural snow and not one created with her powers. She used to build them with Anna that way, after creating enough snow for them to make one, it would be the same, except that she wouldn't be using her powers.

That... Could that work? But it would be too dangerous if they got too close, wouldn't it? Her tone is very regretful when she speaks. She wants to but... She can't take any risks. It wouldn't be fair to him.]

N-No. I'm sorry, but it's safer if I stay here.

[ A pause. ]

Are you an artist of sorts, then?

[ Cairistiona was able to feel the ease and she smiled back before deciding to get up and bow in greeting. ]

Elsa is a very pretty name, if you ask me.

[ A pause and a shake of her head. ]

Please just call me Cairistiona. I've no need for formalities, Elsa. But, no, it isn't. I'm...a soldier of sorts, so traveling by sea is rather common if one wants to get to another continent.

[Elsa shakes her head as she hears the other apologize, tears running down her cheeks as she keeps staring at the damage. She doesn't notice the girl coming closer until she's almost besides her, and she stands up climbing up the stairs difficulty, as fast as possible to put distance between them, raising a hand for good measure to signal for the other to keep the distance.]

No! No, you don't have to apologize. You don't understand, it's... It's the first time. I never thought there could be anyone with enough power to melt my ice, to stop it. Or that there could be anyone with a power similar to mine.

Why are there monsters out there? That's okay. If they try to hurt our snowmen I'll just send them flying!

The biggest!

[Scrooge couldn't stop himself from bragging.. just a wee bit. He'd worked hard for his money, and when he'd lost it all in coming to this new world it had been a terrible shock. Aw- but he could build his fortune again, if he had to. The only thing he couldn't replace were his family members and friends...]

.. But how can I even think of leaving any of it behind?

[Stop making sense, Elsa.]

We'll just have to build a bigger ship! [Like it's that easy] Can't you just imagine it. It could have golden sails, and everything! [Just a little gold fever- probably nothing to worry about]

[Apologies and gratitude? Maybe he hit his head without realizing it. Or maybe his decision to not be a jerk right off the bat paid off better than expected. Figuratively, of course.

Either way, having a calm conversation with a stranger was much better than the risk of being chased off with arrows or magic. Recognizing how awful "sub-human" was automatically bought her some good points as well.]

Normal animals are treated better than laguz, at any rate, but the sentiment is still a nice one.

I'd initially thought your kindness a trick, if we're being...honest. Your thanks are not necessary. Consider it in return for your information of the delicate situation you find yourself in. [She didn't have to explain her story, either. It was the least he could do.]

Oh, thank you. It is the first time I hear a name like yours, but I like it as well, is it common in your land?

[She nods calmly and gratefully for the permission to go with her given name.]

*Selphie stares up at her, feeling pretty useless as she watches her cry. And as she hurries away, that means that a friendly hug is clearly out of the question. She speaks up eventually, delivering the truth in a gentle, understanding voice*

There are many magic users in this world, and some of us can manage much more powerful than that. There's all sorts of magic here. We learned from each other, and look after each other. So... you're not alone here. You don't have to be.

[Chloe smiled and presented the young girl a single red rose as he walked over to the rail to join her.]

What brings you out on deck this evening. Could it be you are searching the heavens for the star that makes true love's dream come true?

Oh. [he doesn't get it but] I don't care about that stuff. Danger can be pretty fun! [but if she doesn't want to go out then] I can stay here. [yep. He folds his arms behind his head and looks around] This place is pretty awesome. Did you make it?

[Oh no worries! She is most definitely a girl! She felt a wave of relieve that she wasn't the only one out of her element, until he admitted to being an official idol.]

Oh- I'm sorry.

[She instinctively bowed her head apologetically.]

I should have known, without having to ask. I- was living with my grandmother before I went away to school and we didn't have a tv. I'm sure, you must be someone very famous. [An autograph? Should she really ask for an autograph from an idol she didn't know? The only thing she had on her was that journal.]

[She stifles a laugh at his enthusiasm. She doesn't agree with the sentiment, but she can appreciate when someone is happy, it's something good to see. Even if a bit dangerous in this situation. But, then again, she herself knows well about fun being dangerous.]

I don't think we have enough materials and work hand to build a bigger ship here, much less to have golden sails. At most we would have to return to a port and purchase a bigger ship there, or order the construction of one there.

[She just stares again. Danger being fun?]

Danger? Fun? What if it's mortal danger?

[Because that's how it is with her. And no, he can't stay, he should go. She's dangerous!

[Those words sounded so poetic, like they could be made into lyrics themselves. She just had to look towards the man who had said them]

[Looking to the flower she couldn't help but be reminded of someone- but before she could focus on that for long, the man just had to say something to embarrass her]



Wa-wait no! It's nothing like that! [Haruka grew flustered, and a light color flooded onto her cheeks] I- I was just.. taking a break from my work. [Had she been down there so long that they'd picked up new crewmates?!]

[Many magic users? There are more? And people who can manage even more than that? That's... She would have never imagined that such a thing could be possible. Not even after being ripped away from her world by a strange magic.]

Then... When you said you could help, you meant that you learned to control your own powers as well? Were you born with them too?

[She had thought that the girl meant something like what her father had tried to do, something that hadn't worked. That, coupled with the way it had been worded, quite rudely, had made Elsa assume that it would be useless.]

Well if they do, we'll be ready for them. I've found that scoundrels like that don't usually give up that easily.

[The blush of a young lady was a fitting reward for such carefully chosen words but he still could not resist the impishly handsome grin that formed on his face as he teased a little more. ]

[The railing looked a nice place for a rest and he leaned back against it. ]

[At least this kind of danger doesn't involve a large volcanic pit filled with molten gold, or something that threatened to trigger Elsa into unleashing an icestorm! Yet.]

Awk- [After surveying the room, Scrooge's shoulders slumped a bit] Ye may be right. [Least they'd found some treasure at all. It wasn't a total loss..] We may have to settle for a bit less this round.

[Pulling himself free, he leaned on the top of his cane. Reason might have talked him down this time, but he was planning on returning.] Now Elsa, did you happen to see those markings we passed on the way in?

[ As long as it doesn't taint her belief in the Light, she's good with it. ]

Hopefully they'll just learn to give up. I rather dislike cleaning blood off of my shield.

[ A pause. ]

I'm Cairistiona Vyeth-Sunstriker, sir. It's a pleasure.

[Yes, she could see people treating animals better than laguz, and it was just even more awful. She had been unsure of using in her mind the term "creature", finding it cruel and ignorant, but compared to "sub-human" it sounded as something far preferable. Even "monster" was a better term as it evoked fear and the respect that was born from it, it acknowledged them as a threat, a danger, something worth to be wary off. "Sub-human" did none of that, it degraded them, stripped away any resemblance of acknowledgement to them as individuals. Elsa shakes her head to herself.]

Sometimes I really have to wonder where does the common sense run off to.

[And to think that she had found ridiculous and outrageous that Anna wanted to marry a man she had just met. She still thinks of it that way, but this was far worse.

She makes a dismissive gesture as his next words, offering a soft smile for him.]

Worry not, had I been in your situation I wouldn't have trusted the offer either, even in a world different from mine. Beorcs are beorcs, and it's very probable that they share the same faults across the different worlds, you have all the right to not trust any of us. And I know well how badly my words helped to change that, I hope that now you understand why I said that. Or that at least you know that it's nothing personal or any animosity against your kind.

If it's not too forward, could I have your name? I would like to know it, and if you care mine is Elsa... [Queen of nothing. Elsa of nowhere. One day she will get used to not talk as if her name is going to be followed by something else.] Just Elsa.
