♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

Not really. I may have been in sleep mode if I ran out of power or something.

[He hums.]

Maybe I should run a diagnostics check...

I woke up by some...fountain thing? In a town I'd never seen before, and no one seems to have heard of the Kingdom of DeLuxia, or monster attacks...! I thought I was dreaming- but then I almost got run over by a cart!

[thepurpleway]

A diagnostics check. [He says it a little slower.]

Hmm...well, they definitely don't have those things in Europe! Except, yes, they do have carts...I think.

I thought that this was really an elaborate music video set at first, but now I'm not sure. No one told me where the break area is!

What's that?

Europe? Is that the city you're from? Can't say I've heard of it.

Wait, are we even talking about the same thing?

It's a check used to see if anything is wrong with me.

Actually, Europe is an area of countries.

Oh...kay. Are you feeling sick or something? You should go see a doctor or a healer if that's the case.

Countries? Now I know I haven't heard of any country by that name.

..... Uh. [Wait, what were they talking about?]

[thepurpleway]

[He shakes his head.] No, I'm fine--wait, a healer? [Are they in a video game?] Ah, I'm sure that a healer wouldn't be able to help, anyway.

[Good, they're on the same page! Gakupo waves a hand dismissively.]

We can figure out where we are in a bit. I want to hear a song!

No? Well um...can't help you there then.

...right. Not like I'm going anywhere any time soon. [Huff.]

-a song though? [PERK.] Well certainly! It would be my pleasure, sir!

Ah, Gakupo will do, not sir. So give me your best!

And I, Allegro Nantabile Cantabile never give anything short of my best!!

[As if to punctuate that, he opens with a mean guitar riff on his Stratocaster.]

[Whatever a Stratocaster is, it sounds awesome!]

That's amazing! What sort of instrument is it? [When he's done playing, he'll just lean in to get a better look. He kind of wants one!]

[It looks and sounds suspiciously like an electric guitar, but surely it can't be because he comes from a fantasy world, hah!]

A guitar, Gakupo! My wonderful Stratocaster! I'd never be anywhere without it!

It's really cool! Such rich sound! How is it working without electricity?!

Why would it need electricity? -or is it because of my shocking performance!
