See you during the application round!
♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?
♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!
♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!
♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!
♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

If they are half the way you are I can believe such a claim. What kind of powers do they have?

*She smiles broadly and laughs, like she's just realised how crazy their crew must sound*
no subject
I'm sorry, I have never heard about vampires or phoenixes. What kind of creatures are they?
[She can, somehow imagine how a shark man would look though.],
no subject
Vampires are... undead. They live forever, and can be pretty strong and do mind tricks, but they gotta drink blood to survive. Phoenixes, they're like... fire birds, humans that can transform, and they can come back alive when they die.
*Selphie scratches the back of her neck*
Well, that's the basics... Kinda.
no subject
[Strange but not in a bad way, more like a curious way. Specially the phoenixes.]
Are the phoenixes really made of fire?
no subject
*Selphie thinks about this for a moment*
Uhm... I don't think so. At least, not when they're in human form.
no subject
[She seems to have calmed down again, but remains sitting looking at Selphie with warm curiosity.]

[She sounds amused.]
You care for them a lot, don't you?
no subject
*She smiles brightly at that and nods*
Yeah. My crew are really good to me, and we have a lot of fun.
no subject
[Elsa can't help to be curious, she didn't pay much attention to the people in the ship she was in before she arrived to the island.]
no subject
*She laughs a little at that*
That's pretty much what I do.
no subject
[Her eyes seem to shine more brightly at the mention of healing magic.]
What kind of healing?
no subject
*She smiles at that*
The healing kind of healing? Protection spells too.
no subject
Can you heal a frozen person?
no subject
You mean like a snowman?

[She pauses and takes a deep breath.]
A long time ago I hurt someone that way. Had it not been for a troll's magic... It would have been fatal.
no subject
*Selphie frowns at this, reminded of that curse she had just lived through, and how horrible that was*
This might sound strange but... did anyone try hugging them, or being close, to see if that would warm them up?
no subject
Yes... We tried. Mother hugged her with all her might, and so did father, so did I... But it served for nothing. We had to run to the trolls for help, they were able to help and heal her.
They warned me, about the danger my powers posed. They said we had been lucky I hadn't hit her in the heart but in the head, the head could be healed. But not a frozen heart.
[She looks at Selphie, her arms around her tightly, pain showing in her face. She had never talked about it again, always keeping it for herself.]
I didn't want to do it. It wasn't my intention, an accident. And I almost killed her. And I have tried to control it, to avoid such a thing happening again but... I failed. I can't control it, I can't risk it happening again. Not unless I know that it can be healed, that there's a way to undo the damage I may cause.
no subject
*She feels quite stupid now, and looks a little sheepish - after all, she didn't have a family or her own so had no idea how these things might work, or how they'd feel. When she looks at Elsa, she just wants to run over and hug her, but she doesn't want anything dangerous to happen, and she's been warned of that. She nods her head in understanding - during the curse where she was a vampire, Selphie had refused to go near anyone*
I'd be a hypocrit if I said that I didn't understand that. If I were you.. I'd probably do the same thing too. But listen, I wanna help. And I really think that maybe there's someone around here that could at least point you in the right direction for controlling your powers. If not, then you should come back here. Otherwise, I think it's worth a try...
no subject
I know you mean well and that you want to help, and I appreciate it, really. But I've tried for so long... I don't really think my power can be controlled. It's part of myself, there since I was born, just a mere thought and it takes shape, a mere touch, and I freeze everything even if I don't want to. It may be impossible to control it, to control me.
[And she sounds so convinced and defeated at the same time. She has given up hope in that aspect, she had done so a long time ago.]
But... Maybe I can be contained. Neutralized or stopped. If there are others with healing magic capable of undoing the damage I may cause, or capable of melting my ice. Maybe then when the worst happens, it won't be fatal...
["When", not "if", she knows well by know that it's just a matter of time if she's surrounded by people. However... She doesn't look satisfied or happy with the idea, why would she be? To accept herself as a monster that had to be contained, or a criminal, a catastrophe just waiting to happen. It was like going back to the past.
And she promised to never go back there.]
No... I can't do that either. I'm sorry, Selphie. I really can't.
[She won't cage herself again just to be somewhat close to others. She won't risk the live of anyone else. It's preferable to just be alone and free, she may still be caged for others, but she's more free than how she would be with anyone else.
She moves to stand and climb back to stairs after giving the hole on the wall another wishful glance. When she does, the hole closes, the ice having regenerated once more.]
no subject
How about... How about if I find someone that I think might be able to help, I bring them here to see you? It'd be better than being all alone all the time.
no subject
That... I could accept that. I won't turn visits away, and I will listen to what they have to say, or what they can show me. But I make no promises about leaving this place.
