Welcome to your monthly Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where new players can test out their characters' voices, old players can try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! ♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

[Hearing a voice near him, Touma glanced around for a moment, trying to see who was being spoken to but...]

Excuse me? I believe you have me mistaken for someone else.

*Now that Adol gets a better look at the man, he didn't look anything like his boon companion and fellow traveler. Just similar hair color.* You're right. *he sighs* I was just with one of my friends so I thought he might have ended up here too.

I was with a few of mine.

[Being without them... is a little concerning, given all they've recently gone through. But there's no use in really worrying about it.]

But it's probably best they aren't here.

Now I want to break out my DVDs of the series

Maybe, but I now I don't know how my friend is doing. But I guess he can take care of himself. *Dogi will have to. Hopefully.*

My name's Adol Christin and I just arrived here...wherever this is.

It's such a pity it isn't all animated in the style of Gaiden. So pretty and clean, then.

Hashiba Touma.

I'm a new arrival, too. Trying to get my bearings. It seems we... have to go out to sea. Not sure I like that, but... You do what you have to, I guess.

I guess we can only wonder what that series would have been like.

*Adol, being from an alternate Europe, assumes the man's name is Hashiba.* Either to join a crew or to make one ourselves. *ponders this for a moment* Do you know anything about sailing?

I like to pretend there's a hope of a reboot, what with the Sailor Moon reboot.

[And, well, Touma will answer to either easily enough. And it might take him awhile to realize the error.]

Nothing at all. One of my friends is pretty good with water, but... he doesn't seem to be here.

[He'd really like to see Shin right about now. The others, too, but dealing with the ocean? He'd be glad to have him around.]

That'd be pretty kick ass. Shin was my favorite character!

That figures. I know how to sail a smaller boat but not a gigantic ship. Not without help, anyway. *Which would involve gold and recruiting and...how do you get started adventuring around here?*

If they slowed down the story arc and really developed it, the series would be awesome.

Well, there are sailboats, too. Not just the large ones.

[He doesn't even know where to begin for this. Not on his own, definitely, but he can probably make himself useful. He knows a little about cooking, at least.]
