Welcome to your monthly Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where new players can test out their characters' voices, old players can try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! His visible eye widened a little at that little bombshell.

Time. Here, it meant little. If Sasuke's word was to be trusted. And he saw no reason to think it a lie - what would it benefit the Uchiha?

Kakashi held himself in check though, mulling it over along with how to word his answer. Sasuke certainly looked like he had the last time he'd caught sight of him...but given how quickly events could change in the direction they'd all been going? It meant little.

"...Naruto caught your trail and we were on our way to get you."

Such a simple explanation to describe the whirlwind of attacks, finding and killing Akatsuki members one after the other.

The surprise was to be expected, that moment where it was clear that Kakashi was weighing the likelihood that Sasuke was telling a lie. Anything deeper than that -- what conclusion the man had drawn in the end -- was hidden beneath the mask and the forehead protector covering Obito's eye.

The information made no sense to Sasuke, however, his brow furrowing in confusion. "Coming to get me? From where?"

Kakashi showed too much caution with him to be from any time earlier than his defection from Konohagakure, and if he had to place an age on him he would guess he was a older than that. It couldn't have been the one time his former team had managed to infiltrate Sound -- Kakashi hadn't been there as far as Sasuke had noticed.
