Welcome to your monthly Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where new players can test out their characters' voices, old players can try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

[He nodded in response, a smile appearing as he turned his head to speak to her.]

Alright!

[He trusts Tear's input, so he's not even questioning her input. In fact--]

What kind should we get?

[mysterical]

[She slowly considered his question while trying not to completely look at him in the face. It had become increasingly difficult for her to be alone with him for any length of time since that night under the stars on top of the Albiore.]

Oranges, bananas, pineapples, those are all good choices. So are apples. [She couldn't help but smile to herself at the next thought she had.] So long as you pay for them before you eat them.

[headfons]

[The smile holds until the last sentence.

Hey, no fair bringing that up, Tear!] W-well, yeah...Of course!

[He sighs and scratches at the side of his head, looking away. A look that holds an almost frustrated "yeah, okay" rests on his face.]

[mysterical]

[Sorry, Luke, you kinda left yourself open to that. Besides, she has to watch you to make sure you've really changed, right?]

I don't know what the Colonel likes in fruit, so having a variety is probably for the best. [She turned to look at him, a rare, openly happy expression on her face.] What is your favorite, Luke?

[headfons]

[Yeah, yeeeeeeah...

...Okay, yeah, he really did walk into that. And, sure. That's the only reason she's sticking by him! We'll go with that.]

Hm...[He folds his arms across his chest and looks down at the ground a moment, following the mention of a certain Colonel's tastes. Yeah, Luke isn't really sure which fruits Jade would like. Luke knows he likes spicy stuff--like curry. But, as for sweet stuff...?

His thought is broken by Tear's question. Glancing up, his eyes land on the happy look resting on her face. He blinks, appearing briefly...distracted. Wow, what's with the slight awkward feeling?]

Uh...[He quickly averts his eyes to the side and pauses to lightly scratch at the side of his face, this time.] My favorite? Well, I like strawberries. [He's giving her a somewhat knowing look at this.] And...apples, too, I guess.

[mysterical]

[She notes his reaction and turns to look at anything but him, feeling uncomfortable again.]

Those are both good choices. Perhaps the Colonel would like lemons...For his tea.

[headfons]

[He blinks as she looks away.]

Hm... [Offering her another smile, he nods.] Yeah! That sounds like a great idea, actually. Soooo...lemons, apples, and oranges? [He props a hand on his hip, head cocking to the side just a bit.] How do those sound?
