Welcome to your monthly Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where new players can test out their characters' voices, old players can try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

[damn if he doesn't need a drink or six. Have a seven foot tall pompadour'd pirate slide beside the stool next to you and order a beer. He glances at the guy next to him.]

So did you come in with the new wave or are you a native?

[jailbreaks]

[When the man sits next to him, he can't help but immediately size him up. He looks strong, which is always nice, but naturally Yuri isn't scared. It makes him excited, in fact. And besides, you can't judge a guy by what they look like. That really screws a person over.]

I'm not a native, so I must be part of this 'new wave' you're talking about.

[Taking a sip of whiskey, he exhales as the liquor burns his throat. Nothing like a good drink to end the day.]

Well then cheers to a long fruitful voyage. [his beer arrives and salutes the guy with it before he takes a sip]

Been shipboard before, mate?

[jailbreaks]

[He reciprocates the other's action, raising his glass, though he doesn't take another sip quite yet.] As long as there's no shipwrecks, we're golden.

[He then nods.]

I have. We have our own boat, actually. [He grins a bit before letting out a light chuckle.] It even flies.
