Welcome to your monthly Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where new players can test out their characters' voices, old players can try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! ♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

Well, before it wasn't really any of my business, but I guess this jerk wanted to get me involved. [The older man, who decided it was time to run, tried to do so. Ryoga reached over to grab him by the shoulder and pull him over to Rapunzel with almost minimal effort.]

Here he is. [Ryoga sat him down on the ground, so Rapunzel could get a pretty good arc out of her swing. Though he himself got hit pretty hard, Ryoga had been used to getting hit in the skull with blunt objects. It came with the territory of blowing up rocks.]

[This time she kept her frying pan to the side, she didn't actually want to hit him, the first time was just because she jumped and it was a sudden reflex.]

So long as he does't do it again, I on't hit him. But next time, he won't be so lucky. Do you understand? [She said moving the pan and pointing it at the poor pirate guy. She was being serious as well.]

Okay, I'm done.

[manlionpig]

[Resisting the urge to roll his eyes as the groggy looking pirate nodded emphatically, Ryoga let him run away. He reached up to rub his head once more, frowning inwardly as he began to remember what he was doing, again.]

So, that guy wasn't any help. How about you? Know where the fountain is?

[Nevermind that Rapunzel's crew would invariably toss the guy overboard, but Ryoga still hadn't clued in on his own situation.]

[She does up towards him, going to check his head. She really hopes she didn't cause any serious damage.]

I'm sorry again for hitting you, I wasn't suppose to hit you.

[The fountain. She knew there was one around, simply because she was prety sure she was told to go to it as well.]

I don't, but I get the feeling that we're suppose to go to it. So why don't we look together? It will be like an adventure. [And that kind of sounds like fun.]

Ahhh? [Ryoga startled at that. Whoever this girl was, she could probably get him to the fountain--and from there, he could find Margie, who was his best bet at getting the soap he needed to fight his curse.

Though, the gods would need to watch over them if Rapunzel didn't lead the way.]

If you could take me there, I'd appreciate it. And--don't worry about hitting me. I get that stuff all the time and nobody ever apologizes for it.

Well, I feel bad. I mean you haven't tried to cut my hair and sell it to the black market or something. [Which is what she is always told would happen if people get their hands on it. She believes her mother.]

So you've done nothing wrong to warrant being smacked on the head with a frying pan, which probably hurts. [She looks around, now where is she suppose to go again? Oh, that's right the fountain. Which was was that she thought as she looked around.]

[manlionpig]

[There was little about Rapunzel's last few statements that made sense, hadn't been weird and weren't totally in a place far from where they were currently standing. Ryoga, if anything, had been accustomed to things just as weird as ladies with magical hair, so he didn't think too much about it.]

No, it's just my luck that somebody would hit me.

[He let out a dramatic sigh, continuing on. Ryoga was clearly going to lead Rapunzel to another continent entirely.]

Anyway, it's alright. While you're with me, I'll take care of anybody that tries to screw with you.
