Welcome to your monthly Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where new players can test out their characters' voices, old players can try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

This isn't a little water! It's a lotta water! [clings to the mast] You'd be scared, too, if you couldn't swim!

[Or did you forget that she saved Miaka whilst wearing a long and heavy imperial robe gown.]

I wonder what Miaka and Tamahome would say if they saw you this way.

I don't care what that jerk has to say.

[for Miaka, though, she wouldn't say much of anything cuz she was the kind and compassionate and kind of dumb girl who would save him from drowning even if she couldn't swim. But for her sake, and not Tamahome's at all, he'll peel himself off the mast and stand on the deck with his hands on his hips]

See? Not bad at all! Who says I couldn't do it!

Impressive...

[Both eyes finally open. When was the last time he had any fun. Since they had left for that long adventure to the country of Genbu, the emperor had nothing but paper work to entertain him.

The emperor stands up and jumps to one side of the boat. Once, twice, a few times to try and rock the boat.]

[heartnikiraboshi]

Hey! Hey, hey, hey! What are you doin' comon! [clings to the mast again] Are you tryin' to kill me?

[emperorofkounan]

[He now jumps harder and harder. Until the boat starts to tilt towards his direction.]

..but I thought you weren't afraid?

[heartnikiraboshi]

It's not like I wanna drown!! [clings all the harder for it.]

[emperorofkounan]

[He jumps even harder, using his Seishi powers to increase his strength and tilt the boat.]

Like I said... its just a little water!

[heartnikiraboshi]

It's gotta be a hundred feet deep! You wanna go in so badly you go! [clinging with arms and legs now]

[emperorofkounan]

[Jumps really high and lands beside Tasuki. The boat is still rocking back and forth, the barrels and canons rolling along the deck like a pendulum.]

I didn't know a Suzaku Seishi can be so scared of water.

[heartnikiraboshi]

I may be a Suzaku seishi but I'm still human! Anyway my power's completely unrelated. I'm a fire guy, remember?

[okay well really speed but still. Fire's always been his element. He scoots a little further up the mast to avoid being hit by a cannon]

[emperorofkounan]

In other words, you're scared. It's okay!

..you know, we've been at see for a little over a month now. Learning how to swim might actually be a good idea. [The crab-sign was not scared, since he could easily avoid the tumbling equipment.]

[heartnikiraboshi]

Yeah I guess... But can we do it from where I can actually stand?

[since there is no way he's voluntarily getting into this water, even if you are his emperor]

that was supposed to be "sea" orz

That would be too easy...

[What if he gives you the order?]

You'll end up being too complacent.

[heartnikiraboshi]

No way I'm doin' it here.

[and again, 'no way'. You may be the ruler but he's still a bandit and outside your law when he wants it. And he'll very maturely stick out his tongue. that I don't have an icon for]

But what if you accidentally fell off the ship?

[Suddenly Hotohori's holy sword was leaving his waist and losing its sheathe.]

[heartnikiraboshi]

Are you nuts?! Are you trying to kill me or somethin'?!

[climbs further up the mast like a monkey up a tree. He's getting the hell out of here]

[emperorofkounan]

No. I'm trying to make sure you survive.

What kind of crew am I suppose to have if my first mate is afraid of water?

[Seriously Tasuki, do you think climbing any further will help you evade the emperor?]

[heartnikiraboshi]

[Don't say it like that. How is he supposed to say anything different when you put so much faith in him? He sighs and slides down the mast until his boots hit the deck]

Just don't let me drown.

[emperorofkounan]

Of course not. What kind of Captain would I be if I let you drown?

[He made his way to the side of the boat and sat down by the rope railing.]

...what kind of friend would I be?
