Welcome to your monthly Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where new players can test out their characters' voices, old players can try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

It's not the best tasting thing in the world but it does help you keep things down at sea. *Plus the captain will yell at the poor guy less since all the time he's spending at the rail is less time helping to man the ship.*

Well it's not immediately coming back up so... I guess it's starting to work. [He just hopes it's not something has to constantly eat.]

Thanks again. I was starting to get worried the captain was going to walk by and push me over the next time I got sick.

Good to know I've probably missed out on getting thrown overboard. I'm Badou Nails. Nice to meet you, too.

I guess this is your first voyage on board? *Considering the amount of seasickness Badou has...*

It's my first time ever being on a ship at all.

Then you're not doing too bad, really. The first time I was on a ship of any kind, I got it caught in a storm, it shipwrecked and I ended up on an island nation.

[yaylungcancer]

[That gets a bit of nervous laughter out of him.]

I'm glad I just got the puking, then. I'd like to avoid a shipwreck if at all possible.

I think we'll be okay since it's multiple people on this ship. The one I wrecked I was the only one aboard. *Although to be fair, he was sailing into a magically created storm so that would have messed up anybody!*

The fear of that happening is what kept me from sailing around on my own. And I'm glad I decided against that, because I wouldn't have know what to do about being sick.

[This is a very good point. Magic screws over everyone.]

*Unless it's magic given to you by winged goddesses. Then it's totally awesome.*

Yeah, I didn't know how to fight the storm either. I got lucky and did wash ashore where I was going. The people there took care of me until I recovered.

[...That's probably a good point.]

With my luck, I'd end up in the complete opposite direction of where I need to be. Let's just hope this ship doesn't end up wrecked, because I have no desire to ever experience any of that.

*Adol smiles a bit.* Well I'm not the captain so I think we might be all right. You already look a little better. *Looking not green in your face is probably a good thing.*

I feel a lot better already. Thanks again for the help. I should probably use this break in the sickness to actually get my work done. It could get messy if anyone notices there's no one cooking dinner.
