Welcome to your monthly Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where new players can test out their characters' voices, old players can try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

[She tried to help with the untangling, not really use to people doing that in the first place since she was always by herself with with mother, who knew not to get tangled. Once the pirate was free, she knew she should at least say sorry.]

I'm sorry. [She grabbed her pan, having put it down moments before to help the poor guy get out, before turning her attentions to her comrade.]

It is pretty long, but there is a reason for that, but it's kind of annoying as it can take a while to brush it and wash it. [She tilted her head however, putting it up? That really was not something she thought about ding, but it would help with the whole people getting caught in it problem she kept having.]

I never had a reason to, no. But maybe I should here.

[Leliana was used to battles, where it was apparent that Rapunzel was not. She gave the younger girl a strange look, as if questioning her apology before she focused on their immediate threat. Now that he was free from the hair, he would be free to attack them. She placed her dagger against the pirates throat before he could do anything.]

Leave here. Go find your own treasure. Is it really worth your life?

[Out of the corner of her eye, she could see the rest of their crew took care of most of the other pirates. They were starting to retreat, so it was no surprise to her when the pirate stepped back and turned to run back to his ship.

With the threat gone, they could continue their conversation. She smiled at Rapunzel.]

If you ever need to use it in battle again, you can always take it down. If you need help washing or brushing it, or putting it up, I could help. I've taken care of another person's hair since I was young.

[Rapunzel sighed with relief as she saw them departing. It meant for the meantime things were okay and she could relax. Holding her frying pan behind her back now, she looked over with a returned smile and a curious look a moment after.]

Would you really help?

Oh yes, we are crew mates now and must look out for each other. We wouldn't want to cut such beautiful - and useful [she added with an amused tone] - hair even if it would make it more manageable. I would be happy to help in any way that I can.

Oh, I would never cut it. Mother wouldn't be very happy about that. [She said that people would want to take it, but she choose not to mention that for the meantime.]

I don't think you should cut it either... but you should keep it long because that is what you want, not because it's what your mother wants. You are old enough now to decide for yourself, yes? Off on a ship with a crew and having adventures?

[There's a smile there that shows she's teasing just a bit. While the concept was all true, that Rapunzel was old enough to decide for herself and doing things on her own, it was all still a part of having no other choice. They were brought here by someone or something, and had to have these adventures for just the chance of being able to go back home.]
