Welcome to your monthly Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where new players can test out their characters' voices, old players can try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

Excuse her face, but Faye seemed to think that she's bumped her head to hard. She waved a hand too, but more to check that she was seeing straight. The giant turtle is talking to her, and in a language she understands, so at least that's something. "I'm..."totally new too." But look, what are you and what planet are we on?"

He stopped a few paces away. Seriously, humans are pretty cool when they're not trying to take his head off. "Oh man, yeah. I have no idea where we are. I figure it's earth, but it's not New York. I've never been outside the city before." Everyone knows earth, right?

Oh wait... what was he? He grinned charmingly. "I'm a turtle. Haven't ya heard of us?" Wait, maybe that was just New York, and Master said people shouldn't KNOW of them, but... well, he can't help himself!

"Earth?" Faye pulled a face and looked around her, clearly unimpressed as she placed a hand on her hip, "No wonder no one lives on this dump anymore."

"Turtles? Yeah. Just not usually so big, and so talkative." Faye managed an awkward smile, still wondering if she was being set up on some kind of prank. "And not some kinda party costume, right?"

He blinked at that, glancing around as if confused. This didn't look like a dump. Dumps were fun and had lots of neat things in them. This looked... old, he supposed. Like from a old TV show or something. But not like a dump.

"I don't know. Seems kind of nice to me. Like old time movies."

He put his fists on his shell (near the hips) and grins, proudly. "No way, babe. I'm one hundred percent, pure ninja turtle. the best of my brothers too."

"Sure, it's cute and everything, but utterly useless. Like living in the dark ages." Faye shook her head, quite obviously far less impressed than he was, despite it seeming like movies.

That she had just been called 'babe' by a turtle does earn an eyebrow raise from her, and a small smirk, "Is that so? A ninja turtle, huh? What, you got throwing stars tucked behind that shell of yours?"

"Like living in a sewer." he said in a 'Mikey is being serious' kind of tone, which tended to not be as serious as one might think. What? Dark ages sounded like somewhere under ground to him. All dark and with critters and stuff. Like home.

When she mentioned throwing stars he looked at her oddly. Well Duuuuuh. "If I kept them there I might get poked. It's not THAT roomy. But I can keep things there." He pat the side of his belt, to a small pouch. "I got things hidden here and there, oh yeah. I'm well prepared!"

"Probably not too different." The idea of living in a sewer was just too disgusting, and the disdain is event on Faye's face - seriously, who would live in a sewer? That's just gross.

Faye tilted her body ever so slightly, as though she was going to take a peek down the back of his shell, but then that might be considered really rude, even if he was technically already naked. "Oh. Right. Well, that's great, but I need to get back to my ship so -"
