Welcome to our first Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where players can test out their characters' voices, try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

[ She glance over at him, looks him over and doesn't deem him a threat - not yet, at least. She is always wary around people, most of all those she doesn't know. She does, however, accept the excuse with a somewhat curt nod. Then she sidesteps two people, and it might be possible that they trip because of her, but it wasn't visible if she tripped them or not. ]

That might be because I'm not.

[ Really now, what's wrong with him being here? ]

[ So amusing, so nostalgic. He knows (knew?) someone much the same back in his world. ]

Basco ta Jolokia, space pirate. [ He sweeps his hat off, both to be sort of polite but more doing it for a laugh, as well as for the sake of hanging it on a hook on the wall. ] And what is your name?

[ Why yes.

Okay, that makes him wonder. ] Would it be dangerous for you to be among them?

[ Ahim might not look frightening, but even with her asleep and her Gokai gun resting next to her seemingly easy to take, Boris really shouldn't have.

Because now she's awake, and she doesn't look pleased. ] Give that back, please. [ Thief or not, politeness is needed. This isn't Basco she's speaking with. ]

Now what is wrong with the clothes pirates use? Basco has used them for years - the same with the hat, it's his original. However, if they found a tailor, he could likely have some of his more preferred clothes made for him. As for eccentric; yes, very much so. But there is a thin line between 'eccentric' and 'insane', and Basco often crossed the line. The type was just maybe charmed by Hijikata's own personality.

"Very well~" There is nothing wrong with the water on this ship, should he only ask if it was.

[ Ragna only notices her when she's already there for a while. Like, he didn't speak at all until she initiates the conversation. ]

Stock more meats. [ Totally no biasing of his favorite food here. ] Maybe more greens if you guys want some of it.

[ He's now torn between praising and saying shits about Luffy. On one hand, Luffy's 'attack' proved effective, but on the other hand, he's not going to let his crew get hurts any further.

Meanie Good Guy over here. ]

Then steer! I'll get the damn cannon ready!

[ Sob what is fighting long range when you're all about sword and DARKNESS arm. ]

[ Tea's not his most favorite drink, but when you're goddamn tired after moping the whole deck? Everything's game. ]

Yeah, please.

[ Sup Riku, guess who's silver haired and had actually planned to go build a raft of his own? Ragna the Bloodedge. In fact, he's dragging a piece of lumber with an arm as he approaches the other person with the same idea. ]

It's all over when you gives up trying. If it works, it's not a terrible idea.

[ There's someone here between these two who haven't learned their lesson and it's probably not Riku. ]

[ He chuckles, and gives an innocent smile. Not that he's innocent concerning anything but none the less. ] I just noticed that you have something that looks vaguely familiar.

[fairtidings]

[ There is a little lady standing next to him, tilting her head. ]

Oh, I am sure it will be fine.

[ Ahim herself turned into a fine pirate, she will give others a chance, the way Marvelous had given one to her. ]

They did seem to gravitate to him, one way or another. His best friend was a great leader-- and an idiot who liked to show people how he could fit his fist in his mouth when he got drunk. Souji was a genius swordsman and frequently got mistaken for a particularly outgoing girl if he wasn't in uniform, Saitou had his mystical nonsense, Ichimura was Ichimura... Really, the Yamazakis were the only remotely normal ones of the lot, them and Sannan. He had thought it to be just a case of happening to fall into a particular crowd, when he was at home, but it seemed like it happened even here, so maybe there really was something that drew them to him.

He raised an eyebrow, strolling across the deck at an unhurried pace. "You're in high spirits."

Have you just recently arrived?

[Ashura is having a little bit of a hard time getting a read on her, but sie's patient. Sie smiles, serene, hir long robes looking rather out of place as well.]

[ Life would be boring without surprises, so it's fine either way. ]

You sure? Some of them might surprise you.

[sunofshiga]

[ He just can't leave a kid alone, really. Tenka leans against Kyouya, using his head as an arm rest. ]

Hey, whatcha doing?

Oh? Sounds like a great thing.

[ Too bad he doesn't have any. And that he doesn't really know what they look like, so he's not of much help there. ]

The seas need a lot of happiness, that's for sure.

[sunofshiga]

[ WOAH THERE, he wasn't aware that he's drunk. He has a hangover, but that is a completely different thing.

He rubs his eyes. Nope, still there. ]

Are you for real?

[sunofshiga]

[ Don't mind an amused onlooker. It's really quite interesting watching this man haggle with the merchant. ]

[ Tenka fans himself as he watches her. ]

Sounds like the name of a brothel.

[ To Ahim, the Vulcan doesn't stand out all that much. She's not human herself, though she looks like it, and she's used to stranger things than pointy ears. She does notice those traits though, having spent quite some time on Earth now. Seeing another non-human that is neither part of her crew nor an enemy is a rare occasion.

She lifts her skirts, giving a curtsy. ]

Good day, sir. Are you also not from around here?

[ So sorry, you've got a drunk Tenka draping his arm across your shoulders. ]

[ Tenka looks pretty amused by the sight down on the raft. ]

Hey, need any help with that?

[ And by 'that', he means the rum, of course. ]

[ He really could be a bit more helpful. Not that Basco can't manage on his own.

Finally reaching a deal - great for Basco, sad for the merchant - he pays and turns to the on-looker. ]
