Welcome to our first Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where players can test out their characters' voices, try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

Oh okay. Well if I find someone you're not looking for I'll let you know. [nod. he might have gotten a little confused, but nevermind]

[that was easy. He does so with no problem, then catches a glimpse of something far off but maybe really awesome through the railing. He hops to his feet again]

Hey! You want to see something really cool?

[allendsmeat]

Yeah I've seen cats. But not normally ones that talk. [head tilt] Do talking cats not know how? It's easy! You just take your paw and put it there! [he points to his hand]

[allendsmeat]

Yeah! It's great! When is lunch!

[have a Luffy! You may not recognize him being a stowaway and all but nevermind]

Are we having Calocaly or Frab Juice?

[allendsmeat]

[if he's sitting in the galley, he might notice a barrel that has seemingly grown legs and sandled feet from the bottom. There's nothing suspicious here even as it bumps into the counter a few times. That stomach growl obviously belonged to something else because this was just an innocent barrel]

Yohohoho! I've never tried before...but I suppose I could. However...should we not first focus on finding our beloved crew first Luffy-san?

[With a small nod, he hooped his cane around his wrist once more and proceeded to grab and hand the oar over to Luffy. He suspected it was going to be a long set of rowing from here to the next port]

Isn't amemable like those flowery things that sting you sometimes if you touch 'em?

[he nods though]

Yeah. And crew should stick together once they've met up. But you know, they're your crew, too.

[allendsmeat]

All of them probably. [he nods] We were supposed to meet three days ago. [and it's definitely been more than that. He shrugs at the statement though]

It'd be boring if I just waited around, and I might never find them. Anyway, even if I die, I'd rather be having fun.

[allendsmeat]

[since most of his fun revolves around kill things wanting to kill him, it sounds alright to him]

What's the inside of a star like? Is it cold? Or like sugar candy?

[allendsmeat]

[Luffy brushes the guy's hand away. He had helped and Luffy appreciated it but was also laughing even when his nakama were knocked down and that annoyed him]

I'm a rubber man. [he looked out over the deck]

Who belongs here? I need to send the others back.

[allendsmeat]

[he nods. They had time to do a few animals but Brook must really miss everyone. He did, too. So it was okay to find them now]

Yosh.

[he takes the paddle and gathers the barrel under his arm as he takes it to the edge of the beach, setting it down and looking for a moment at the horizon. They could find anything out there and even that was a little exciting! But right now, though, they had a barrel.]

You get in first.

[allendsmeat]

Then can I have a ride on your ship? I'm looking for my friends.

[allendsmeat]

You're kind of a dumb pirate if you can't even sail! hahaha [whacks you on the back] But that's okay! You must be good at a lot of things!

[allendsmeat]

[nod. nod. nod. That was pretty hard. But if he couldn't get out of it, he couldn't get out of it. Still--]

I bet you have had a lot of cool adventures, though! And you can go to places no one can! Like volcanoes or really deep caves or under the sea! I bet you can see really cool stuff down there or even find sunken treasure!

Of course, thank you Luffy-San.

[Brook gave his captain a small tip of his hat before stepping inside the barrel, his skinny frame leaving more than enough room for someone else. This would certainly be an interesting ride to punctuate an interesting day]

Soldiers in space! That sounds like it would make a good shounen manga.

[From his voice, it's hard to tell if he's serious or mocking; in truth, it's probably both. The occasional falling coconut gets an unhurried look from Izaya, just in case the sound is caused by something else. When one hits particularly close, he wanders off to pick it up.

Giant floating jellyfish?] That depends on how venomous they are, I presume.

[allendsmeat]

[he puts the oar in, too]

Hold tight.

[Then he grabs the trees on either side and backs up, further and further and further. They have to make it past the breakers after all. Then when he figures he's gone far enough...]

Gum Gum no SLINGSHOT!

[pyoiing! Crashing into the barrel and sending them both flying high into the sky! The extra weight of Luffy on one side puts a spin on it, too, so they are spinning madly on to of it]

YAHOOO!

I think my poor heart just gave out...if I had one left that is! Yohohohoho!!

[Brook managed to say before the pair were blasted off into the wild blue yonder, their barrel spinning around like a mad top as they sailed through the air. This of course didn't bother Brook all that much; he had no brain to be smashing about in his skull, so he wasn't experiencing any dizziness at all. If anything he was still standing with his arms outstretched, still laughing like a maniac at his joke prior to take off]

[allendsmeat]

[they crash into the surf, nearly tipping over but luck is on their side and they don't. After Luffy is through laughing at how cool that was, he carefully climbs into the barrel himself. There's a little less room then before and Brook isn't very comfortable, but none of that matters at all

He looks up into his eyes, whether they are there or not, and grins]

I'm glad you're here, Brook.

[hitorabu]

[Oh dear, touchy touchy! Rubber man indeed... Even apart from his skills at offense, it could be difficult to hurt him, then. Maybe fire...?

Well, that's all hypothetical for now. It's as well to be prepared, though. This kid could take over entire ships, if he wanted to - much as he just did.

Casually strolling over the deck, Izaya indicates those not part of the crew.]

That one can go... and that one... and -...

[Arriving at a guy who's been causing trouble for Izaya for a while now, he smirks down at him. The man in question is fully conscious and pushing himself up into a sitting position, trying to scramble out of the way. The display of the rubber man has suitably impressed him, and Izaya lets him stew for a while. Will Izaya declare him an enemy in revenge for all the times the man tried to get to him?]

... Ah, no, not that one. He's a terrible cook, and I'm sure he steals a portion of food supplies to fill his own over-sized stomach - but he's part of the crew, all right.

[Talk about looking at the glass as half full.]

I wouldn't call them "cool adventures", but leaving aside the sunken treasure I've been in those places you say. I normally spend my time in a volcano back where I'm from and once my companions and me had to fight in a temple at the deepest part of the sea, under water of course. Didn't have time to waste looking around though.

[Saori really likes to force time limits on them after all.]

Is that why you're here and travelling on a barrel? To have cool adventures and find sunken treasures?

[desperate_smile]

[that looks like an interesting kind of guy. He certainly likes his cigars. Justice, huh? Wow, this guy certainly reminds him of someone! Soujirou perches beside him]

You sure do drink a lot, Mister. I'm impressed!

[desperate_smile]

[there is a strange bird--

on his window.

He shouldn't be surprised! There were a lot of strange things in this place! It was certainly not the most unusual thing he'd seen so far. So why not? He could accept the strange glowing blue bird like a fairy tale or a messenger of death.

So he opens the window]

I think you might want to fly somewhere else. You're really kind of bothering me.

[desperate_smile]

[Soujirou is not a stranger to gore, but he would rather keep it out of plain sight if he's not working. After all, it's pretty dirty and there's no use to look at that! He smiles as he holds his sleeve, not so discreetly, against his nose]

Wow, Mr. Undertaker, you sure like desecrating the dead!

[You know it's preeetty difficult to focus when he's sliding across the deck like this. Can't grab onto the mast, though! What would that look like? So he tries to maintain his footing as he makes his way up to, what was she? Captain?]

Excuse me, Grell-san, but it really seems like you don't know what you're doing!
