Welcome to our first Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where players can test out their characters' voices, try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

[Rikka blinks; now that she looks at him, this kid's really young.]

Why are you here, anyway? You're a really little kid. People get hurt on ships like this. Are you sure this is where you're supposed to be?

[She's not trying to treat you like a little idiot brat, Conan. It's just habit.]

[allendsmeat]

Yoooosh!

[and he starts marching forward singing happily]

Meat and fish. Meat and fish. Fishy meat. Mishy feet. Sanji's going to make dinner~~

[he yoinks an apple that's fallen to the ground and munches on it, walking backwards]

By the way, how are we gonna get another ship?

[serving_love]

[Trails along after with a sigh.]

Oi, smart guy, you gotta go back and get the meat and fish. That's what I was doing before you decided to plow through half the market, you know. Shopping!

[Pauses.]

And hell if I know, I'm still not sure what's going on. Sunny ain't here?

[elementofcupcakes]

Oh! OH! [Points her hoof rapidly at another one.]

What about that one with the pink fins and purple belly?!

[bonermagic]

[He's envisioning some canon-specific thing that's not quite a Precure so he doesn't quite have the right impression, but close enough. Anyway, he shrugs. Loose, indifferent.]

Ok. I could use the exercise anyway. [And he swings, he parries, he gets his swordwork going for a moment until there's another brief lull.]

Did I miss a transformation sequence? I missed a fucking transformation sequence, didn't I.

[allendsmeat]

Oh yeah.

[making food is really complicated.]

I haven't seen the Sunny. Did it come with us? I should go look!

[but wait! food.

Ship.

food.

Ship.

Which was more important right now? Both cuz he wanted to eat on the ship--]

Hmmmmmmmmm....

[punchurface]

[ She did her best to ignore it, but there are times where she wished that maybe her father didn't die then and she could have just let the whole super hero thing rest. But it's what she is? Right?

She nodded. She fights alone... but having an ally here wouldn't hurt. ]

I guess I can agree to this.

[restorebalance]

Maybe one of these days we'll sail together. Can't man a proper size boat alone in these waters.

[No trust, no friendship, no fighting side by side.

Sailing.

An alliance in close quarters, perhaps, but nothing more certain than that. Easy enough to go their separate ways at any port.]

[allendsmeat]

What's that? [he crawls out of the barrel and plunks onto the boat opposite her, still munching on the apple]

Oh, it isn't that bad. You looked rather majestic a minute ago.

[seakingbait]

[Sanji pls don't eat mermaids we're not as tasty as we look I swear.]

I was sleeping in my bed last night, but when I woke up I was in the fountain here. I kind of hid there for a while until some nice-looking human person said he would find me a place to stay.

...then he knocked me out and tied me up.

[rikuheyriku]

[And he is half right.

Sora blinks up at the man, before smiling. Well, that's good to know. He has no trouble in that area, at least.]

What's the next step, then?

[He grins in spite of himself. After thinking he'd never hear Thatch talk like that again, it's ridiculously nice.]

Does she now? Are they into blonds as well?

[sneaking in with option number one]

[He is exploring that very island, with his ship having docked on the opposite side, coincidentally. Sora is alone, at the moment, having gotten separated from the rest of his crew... somehow. Yeah, okay, so he got distracted for just a minute...

It is a good thing, though, either way. Because he happens to be wandering in search of his crew members, he spots that familiar red hair. His eyes widen, before a smile breaks.]

Kairi!

[thatched]

Everyone's into blonds, mate. [and he pulls Marco closer and nips the top of his ear] Everyone

[He blinks. He will be fine? He smiles, since this does actually make him feel better. Yeah, he will be, won't he?]

You lost your crew? [He then looks in the same direction as Luffy. The storm clouds trigger an unpleasant memory, for a moment. He snaps out of the thought, before giving Luffy a determined smile.]

Right!

[watchesthesea]

[Winged snakes, huh. Well that certainly wasn't something she would have seen back at home. So with her interest peaked, she nodded.]

I would love to. Which way do we go?

[watchesthesea]

[But... you're like a captain. Oh well, Kairi was polite enough to realize her mistakes, but for now she'll just laugh them off.]

Okay, sir. I'm sorry that I forgot my manners.

[soundandfurry]

Flatterer. Trust me, I'm a total fuzzball right now. And not the cute, puppy kind. The awkward "oh wow doesn't she ever shave?" kind.

[anabottleofcola]

["!"] Pardon?

[And - question like that followed by - a remark like that comes off as perfectly innocent rather than anything debating.]

Well, hrrm, I should think that one certainly CAN - but that's hardly the point! The point that I am getting at, dear boy, is that all this piracy nonsense is unnecessary at best when the task at hand is merely to locate the shards of this Piedra Roja, eh wot?

[watchesthesea]

[She held her own rope, looking it over. She had wondered why they need to secure the lines sometimes, but she always refrained from asking. For now though she nodded, as she started to concentrate on the task ahead.

Making loops the length of ones arms. Well, that seemed simple enough as her hands slowly used the rope to measure, checking for knots before making her first loop. She felt a little accomplished as she showed him.]

You mean like this?

[alphantom]

But that's wonderful in its own way, don't you think? I can't grow any body hair at all. [Alpha are you serious that's not what she wants to hear]

[watchesthesea]

[She makes a mental note to tell the chef of that order as she puts a hand on her head, saluting as politely as one could doing that.]

Aye, Aye. I'll go get that for you now.

[She nods, her smile as bright as always as she went to deal with that. It was at least five minutes before she returned, everything there.]

Here you are.

[Kairi had been picking a couple of flowers she though might look good in the quarters. There were quite a vast collection here, some quite unusual and new to her. Though, upon hearing an awfully familiar voice, her interest had changed as she slowly turned her head around to look behind.

The moment she did her smiled brightened up a little. After all it was always nice to see her friends again.]

Sora! You're here. [She stood up, turning around happily, flowers in hand still as she made her ways over.]

[hellsfang]

I'm not cranky, I'm sick of being stuck on this pile of rotting timber!

[Which is exactly the reason why he's being cranky, but details.]

Though if you're soooo eager to stay out in the sea, I could always throw you overboard and leave you there. How's that for an idea?
