Welcome to our first Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where players can test out their characters' voices, try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

Meat and fish. Meat and fish. Fishy meat. Mishy feet. Sanji's going to make dinner~~

[he yoinks an apple that's fallen to the ground and munches on it, walking backwards]

By the way, how are we gonna get another ship?

[serving_love]

[Trails along after with a sigh.]

Oi, smart guy, you gotta go back and get the meat and fish. That's what I was doing before you decided to plow through half the market, you know. Shopping!

[Pauses.]

And hell if I know, I'm still not sure what's going on. Sunny ain't here?

[allendsmeat]

Oh yeah.

[making food is really complicated.]

I haven't seen the Sunny. Did it come with us? I should go look!

[but wait! food.

Ship.

food.

Ship.

Which was more important right now? Both cuz he wanted to eat on the ship--]

Hmmmmmmmmm....

I doubt it came with us. If it did, there'd probably be more of us around—

[Stops.

Pauses.

REALIZES.]

Nami-san and Robin-chan! Are they here??! What if they're not?! AM I JUST GOING TO BE STUCK WITH YOU?

[allendsmeat]

Yeah. [nod]

[He plucks another apple from the ground and noms on it]

But Shanji if we dhon't have a ship how are we gonna find everybody?

[serving_love]

You're right. [Shock.] You're right, we need a ship. We need a ship now. Forget the fish!

[DETERMINED LOOK.]

No eating until we find Nami-san and Robin-chan!! Come on, where's the shitty harbor?!

[allendsmeat]

[WHAT? NO WAY!]

WE HAVE TO FIND THEM RIGHT AWAY! [and running top speed through the market]

OIIIIIII! NAMIIII! ROBIIIN! SUNNNY!! WHERE ARE YOU!?

[serving_love]

[What, where did his captain go. He wasn't even aware Luffy could move that fast.]

Tch. Oi, Luffy! [So he takes off running after him, of course.] LUFFY, GET BACK HERE, WE NEED A PLAN!!

[Carefully skirting around all those destroyed stalls because their owners look none too happy at the sight of him again. >.>]

[allendsmeat]

[run run slingshot up into roof, brick breaks off in hand, stumbles a bit but manages to recover before falling into window, running along the roofs now]

NAMII! ZOROOOO! SANJII! BROOK! CHOPPERR!

[you might see him disappear as he misdjudged a jump. There is a crash, a billow of dust, and an angry voice saying. 'hey!]

[serving_love]

[Comes to a sudden halt, watching that growing dust cloud in the distance.]

[Only Luffy, man. With a sigh, he heads over that way, kicking aside debris and the like once he gets there as he searches.]

Oi, Luffy, you dead yet? You know, maybe next time don't run away from the one nakama you've managed to find!

[allendsmeat]

[After a bit, and just enough for Sanji to start worrying, Luffy pokes his head out of a nearby ramen shop. He's a little dusty and scratched here and there but annoyingly fine]

Oh, Sanji! We don't have to worry about food because I found some. [slurp slurp] Do you have money?

NO, I DON'T HAVE ANY MONEY!!!

[Dammit, Luffy. RAWR.]

[allendsmeat]

Oh okay. [he pulls his head back in] Sorry, ramen guy! I don't have any money but I can carry those barrels to the port for you instead.

[it seems like a deal is mad because he comes out of the shop a second later with two huge barrels on his shoulders and grins at Sanji]

If we can get two big ones like these, we won't need to get a ship for a while, right?

[serving_love]

Huh?

[Yeah, he's not following. Because getting into a barrel and sailing off into the horizon is not a logical thing that would come to mind. :|]

Of course we need a ship. How do you expect to find Nami-san and Robin-chan without one?

[PRIORITIES. They have other nakama?]

We can use the barrels. Or I can make another raft! It'll be fun!

[clearly he has all the best ideas. This is why he's captain]

I mean, I want a ship, too, but it's gonna be hard to get one without any money.

[serving_love]

[Can't even finish that sentence.]

[Sticks a finger in his ear to clean it like he's sure he heard that wrong, or misunderstood, or SOMETHING.]

[TRIES AGAIN.]

You expect me to set sail from here in a shitty barrel?

[and he starts back inside the shop. Feel free to stop him at any time]
