Welcome to your monthly Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where new players can test out their characters' voices, old players can try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

♦ NAVY SHIPS! Cannon fire! Guns and explosions! It's a Pirates vs. Navy battle! **HINT: This might be a good one to try this time around... :D

Zoro | One Piece

[lost at sea? No big deal. Of course, he doesn't know he's lost. The ship got washed away. Yeah. Wasn't his fault. Ships get lost all the time.

Zoro is sitting on a chunk of wood, possibly once a door, legs folded, arms crossed, looking annoyed. If a friend picks him up, great. If a foe pulls alongside his makeshift raft, he might want their ship instead. It's nearly impossible to tell what he'll do.]

[ Perona's been out at sea for what seems like forever. All alone. Her ship was small, more of a personal sailboat than a ship, but she wasn't going to complain. She didn't particularly like the island she had shown up on, and she'd take whatever she could get to get her to another island.

An island with more personality, she hoped.

During this sea voyage, she spotted a figure afloat on nothing more than a piece of wood. She steered closer - after all, she might like to seem that way, but she wasn't totally heartless.




But when she got closer, she saw that person was Zoro.


And she was sorely tempted to just keep sailing past. ]

[feel that stare, Perona? Zoro has spotted the little sail of her ship, and the pink here, and oh hell no not her again. Hence, the dread staring from across the water.]

What.

[gothloli]

[ How she wished she could pretend she hadn't seen him. Keep moving on.

But her ship was already approaching him - close enough for him to actually get aboard. She didn't look too pleased with that.

But he's also close enough for them to talk now. ] You're fine, right? You've got a raft.

Ah- If I see Straw Hat, I'll send him your way, all right? [ That's good enough, right? ]

I'm fine. I don't need any help.

[wait, what?] Luffy? Where is he?

[gothloli]

What? How should I know that?

I just hear him over the stupid book. [ She waves the magic journal in the air, as if saying "You do know about these things, right? You'd have to be stupid not to!" ]

[yourotherleft]

[a long, calculated stare at the book in question]

That thing was important?

[Moving on scene is a small sailboat, its only sailor - a single armored figure - doing the navigating on the dock.] What manner of disaster happened here?

[Zoro raises his head, and his un-scarred eyebrow, at being addressed]

The ship I was on got lost. Who wants to know?

Well, knowledge could help in recapturing said boat. But at this point I think you'd consider yourself well-off with just passage to land.

[yourotherleft]

Oh? Are you offering passage, then?

[allendsmeat]

zooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

[how about if said friend comes slingshotting out of nowhere and slams into you from behind sending you both crashing into the water and subsequently drowning?]

[several things go through Zoro's mind in the space of a few seconds.

First, it's oh, there's Luffy.

Then, it's SHIT LUFFY GODDAMMIT WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!

Then, it's the realization that he should have expected that. Followed by the need to swim over to his dumbass captain and grab him before he sinks too far into the sea, so neither of them drown]

ha ha ha I'm glad you made it! You got pretty lost getting here huh? [whaps Zoro on the back

....and then wilts]

There's too much waater

[allendsmeat]

[but Zoro is here! So he revives again! Quick time!]

It's gonna be really great! You should see my dragons when they hatch and we can go back to dumbass spider island or maybe fight a kraker!

[allendsmeat]

[but being ducked in salt water and also thinking of crackers, tentacled or otherwise takes their and he flops bonelessly in Zoro's grip]

I'm hungryyyyy

[tossing Luffy fully onto his door-raft]

I can't do anything about that, I don't have any food. Where the hell did you come from, anyway? Where's the Sunny?

[allendsmeat]

[oh cool a door! What's that doing out here? Luffy pokes absently at the knob, wondering what'd happen if he opened it before catching Zoro's question]

That's okay we have a lot. But the Sunny's back home. Right now we have the Million Merrily-go. [and he points to a ship in the distance--and getting further-- that has a dragon figurehead]

The Million Mer... [oh. Wow. Check that out. Cue dramatic gazing out at the ocean]
