Welcome to your monthly Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where new players can test out their characters' voices, old players can try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

♦ NAVY SHIPS! Cannon fire! Guns and explosions! It's a Pirates vs. Navy battle! **HINT: This might be a good one to try this time around... :D

[tossing Luffy fully onto his door-raft]

I can't do anything about that, I don't have any food. Where the hell did you come from, anyway? Where's the Sunny?

[oh cool a door! What's that doing out here? Luffy pokes absently at the knob, wondering what'd happen if he opened it before catching Zoro's question]

That's okay we have a lot. But the Sunny's back home. Right now we have the Million Merrily-go. [and he points to a ship in the distance--and getting further-- that has a dragon figurehead]

The Million Mer... [oh. Wow. Check that out. Cue dramatic gazing out at the ocean]

haha well I jumped off pretty suddenly--

[oh wait! That means all the food is going in that direction, too!]

O-oi! Wait up! [snaps off a piece of the door for a paddle and starts paddling for his life! Whether or not Zoro is on the door. Oops]

[sometimes, a man just has to whack his captain in the head. This is one of those times]

Don't break the raft! I'm not rescuing you again!

[except, that's all they have for paddles, so he sighs and joins in]

Come on, maybe if we both do it, we can catch up.

By the way, Zoro. What happened? [since this was obviously the best time to ask that kind of thing] You got bigger.

[and it's pretty cool but he wants to know how he did it]

Huh? [giving him the full effect of that one-eyed stare. Now that he actually stops and looks at Luffy, he doesn't look the same, either]

You were the one who needed us to get stronger.

[allendsmeat]

[well yeah. He did. He always did and it was always great when it happened but...]

Zoro's pretty fast huh? [he's not sure how it happened so it was kind of a mystery unless...] You're the two years ahead Zoro right?

Yeah. [wait for it. waaait for iiiit...]

You look a lot younger than you did before.

[nope, missed it by that much. He'll try again]

[that's okay. Zoro will get it at some point. In any case he nods]

The ghost guy does mystery things with time. Sanji's from my time but I think Robin and Usopp and Keimi are from yours.

[he grins]

Sanji's gonna be pretty mad that you're older than him.

[oh. Oh that's rich. Zoro can't help the big, evil grin that spreads across his face]

Shitty Mr. Nosebleed is younger than me. [YESSSS SO MUCH TEASING]

So that's all the crew we have, huh?

[allendsmeat]

[he grins back. It's great to see Zoro so happy about it and now Sanji can relax a bit and have someone to fight with!]

Mm! And Pinkie and Celestia. We still need a shipwright but Moto-chan made us a lot of stuff.

[that's just like Luffy, to take on anyone as crew. At least Zoro doesn't have to worry about his debts to Nami, now]

Are they strong enough?

[allendsmeat]

...Dunno. [it's different here and he's not sure yet what they're going to be up against.] They're not the same as us. They didn't want to be pirates.

[he snorts. Wimps. Great.]

You still are, right? You haven't given up. Because I only follow a captain who doesn't give up.

haha of course! I'll always be a pirate! I don't care about being king here, though. I just wanna kick that ghost guy's ass and go home. [oh but... he knocks his fist into his palm] We have to find Candy Mountain first
