Brook | One Piece
[Oh now this was a predicament if Brook had ever born witness to one. The Thousand Sunny had been caught in a storm and his poor body was easily blown off board into the great blue beyond. When he had finally come to, he was on a small island with nothing but himself, his cane, and the clothing on his back...it wasn't even that big of an island; only a small circle out in the middle of the ocean at best. For now, Brook would simply find himself sitting on the stump of a tree he had cut down; his eye sockets locked on the rolling waves of the sea as he scanned the horizon for a sign of his friends...or anyone really]
Oh dear, the sun is really coming down today...I feel like my skin is going to melt off my bones... That is, if I had any skin left! Yohohohohoho!

[have an overjoyed captain slamming into you full force from behind. Fwoosh! Over the land! Is that a cliff coming up? He's too overjoyed to tell]

[Brook said nonchalantly as he was blown off of his seat and back into the air. He had heard his captain coming from a mile away...almost literally with how good his lack of ears were; and he just hadn't had the heart...quite literally, to deny Luffy such a basic pleasure. As the two hurtled through the air it became apparent that they were indeed headed towards a cliff, prompting Brook to unsheath his cane sword and slam it into the ground; halting their flight and allowing Brook to plant his bony feet back on the ground while Luffy continued on his flight path, his stretching arm held firmly in Brook's surprisingly firm grip]
That was a close one, I almost died...again! Yohohohoho!!

Ahh I'm happy! I haven't seen you since that bear guy!
no subject
Ahhhh, yes him. That certainly was a scary situation, I'm glad to see you've pulled through Luffy-san. What of the others though, have you come across anyone else since then?

I'm sure wherever they are, they're just fine; I'm confident we will see them again...or I would be if I had eyes left to see them with! Yohohohohoho!!

[The song was something a little more reserved this time around; or at least nothing so jovial as the last time they had all been singing. This was something simpler, his voice only barely above the humming that set the cadence for the lyrics...simple in every sense of the word, but perfect for walking with a friend]

[Nevermind that it's a talking skeleton.]

Indeed...its been so long that my stomach feels like its fused with my back...not that I have either anymore! Yohohohoho!!
[He said as his voice pipped up, his arms extending outwards as if to put extra emphasis on his joke]

Oh, that's a GOOD one! I gotta remember that when it's lunch time!
[But now she realizes something! Or, well, a few things.]
So if you don't have skin and stuff, why are you wearing clothes? Do you NEED them? Or is it a fashion thing? How come you have hair?! Can I touch it?!

[This...small horse seemed nice enough; and she laughed at his jokes! What more reason did he need to share his story with her?]

Does it have a bow?!
Pinkie I am sorry for this ;w;
[Brook said as he gave his fancy bowtie a few tugs before abruptly giving his hair a tug; his skull popping open like a morbid case as he pulled out a strange, seashell-like device. After closing his skull, he set it on the ground and pressed the top of the shell with a small click as an upbeat tune began to play.]
Once upon a time, about 88 years ago I sailed as a pirate along with my crew, the Rumbar Pirates. We sailed far and wide; spreading our music to those with open ears and living our lives as fully as we could under the guide of our captain, Calico Yorki. One day, along with many other captains, Captain Yorki decided we would set out to a place of great adventure and greater danger; the Grand Line, in search of a marvelous treasure known only as One Piece, left behind by the former King of Pirates, Gol D. Roger.
During our trip, we stumbled across a small whale who had found itself lost from its pod; try as we did to get it to leave for his own safety, he continued to follow us and so, we adopted him in a strange sort of way...Laboon as we called him was just as much a part of our crew as any man or woman you might say. Unfortunately, the Grand Line was far too dangerous for such a small whale, so we left him in the care of a friend with the promise that we would most definitely return one day to sing and be merry with him once more...and with that we set out on our final journey.
Half way into our journey...half our crew and our captain contracted a dangerous and incurable disease...and so they decided to leave our ship to cross the "Calm Belt" of the Grand Line; that we might continue on in their stead and not become infected ourselves. This arrangement lasted for a time; but eventually we were overcome by an opposing force using poisoned weaponry...as you can see, none of us survived. I alone was able to come back, as I had eaten a Devil Fruit known as the Revive-Revive Fruit, that we might keep our promise to our dear friend Laboon.
That is why I dress in these clothing, and why I have taken such good care of my hair...they may be the only things that Laboon will recognize of me when I finally see him again. After all, nothing is more important than keeping a promise to a friend.
[Brook finished his story and clicked the shell's button once more, stopping the music and returning it to its resting place in his skull with a small sigh; though his smile once again returned after his head was back to its proper state]
And yes, you may touch my hair; provided you are careful with it.
ermagerd...
Gosh, that's a really great story, Mister! You're a really good friend! Are you close to finding Laboon?
[She carefully reaches out a hoof to touch his hair. Very slowly extending it out...gotta...be careful...]
But don't worry, he's a happy skeleton mostly, honest!
I do my best...right now I am waiting for my current crew to find my old bones here before I can set off to find Laboon once more; but I know that one day I will see my friend again. Friendship is a bond that no distance can break after all.
[For as different as a skeleton dressed as a gentleman and a small pink pony could be...they weren't all that different when it came down to it.]
As happy as skeletons can be, yes!
Brook is a very happy skeleton, happier than a lot of people he meets honestly XD
That's kinda sad, when you think of it :|

[He jumps up with excitement to yell and wave his arms, signalling to any life on the little island but soon remembers his sea-sensitive stomach and quickly sits back down]
HELLO?! IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE???

[It worries him a bit that the music is a little haunting, and why wouldn't someone just yell out to him? what if someone is trying to lure him there?!]
[Weighing the options, he swallows hard pushing down his fears, and jumps in the water, deciding land is now close enough to swim to. Coming up closer to shore, he doesn't immediately see anyone around.]

[Finally making it up onto the beach, he actually takes a moment to listen to the words of the song, finding them soulful and comforting, despite not knowing where the mysterious music is coming from]
H-hello? Is there someone here? [Looking around, but too afraid to go further onto the island]

[A proper and polite sounding voice would say from behind the young man; and should he turn around he would see...a very tall and well dressed skeleton with a large afro standing behind him with a violin in hand and a purple cane hooped around his wrist. He reached up and gave a tip of his top hat to the man before speaking, though where his voice was coming from without any visible internal organs was a mystery]
If you're looking for others, I'm afraid there's no other person on this island asides from my old bones, Yohohohoho!

[Manages to squeak out] Y-yes, stranded.
[Rei turns around and sees...well, a very pale, tall individual. Gasps, and reaches for his face, realizing he's lost his glasses in the ocean. Squinting a bit, trying not to be too obvious that he can't see much, but there's definitely something weird about this guy in front of him. No one is that pale, right??]
Are you friendly, sir?

[Marco extends an arm with blue flames over it and returns the joke with a deadpan one of his own.] Oh no, my arm seems to have caught on fire, eh. [This would work better if he didn't sound utterly unfazed.]
