Welcome to your monthly Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where new players can test out their characters' voices, old players can try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

♦ Arrr, here be buried treasure, but not all that glitters is gold! Will ye be telling your mateys what ye found, or keeping it for yourselves?

[Oh, had she? Red hadn't even realized. Looking around, she reached for a notepad and wrote something on it before showing it to her.]

[Setting the pad aside, Red took the bowl.]

You're welcome... You know, if you're having trouble waking in the morning, I can arrange someone to get you. It's better you do not sleep too much, especially as we sail further into dangerous territory.

[Red had been so busy since losing her voice that she hadn't given too much thought on what her day-to-day life would be like. It was... easier before. Not much time for talking. Not that many people that would've talked to her to begin with.

But here...]

We all have trouble adjusting at first... worry not. You are in excellent hands. It took me some time to adjust to them, but this crew is one I can trust my life to... as can you.

[It's a refreshing feeling, at least. Being surrounded by people who, well, didn't particularly want to kill her. She's had enough of that, really.

This ship and this world, though. It's so different, yet full of life.

Well, aside from the fact that this one seems to be a ghost? A pleasant ghost, at least!]

I don't know how to repay you. For everything.

Now now, there's no need for that kind of talk. I doubt the captain is interested in payment. All he cares is if you can contribute. And I doubt you'd be carrying a weapon like that if you didn't know how to use it.
