Almaz von Almandine Adamant - Disgaea 3
HELP!
[The cry was pitiable and desperate.]
I don't know what's going on and I can't find anyone. I... I don't want to die alone here.
[He starts to sniff, yes he is about to cry.]
[B: Town Square]
[Almaz can be found wandering around frantically near the fountain.]
Um... what's going on? I'm really confused.... especially by my title suddenly being Pirate Demon! It was bad enough when it was just a demons title, but now a pirate! I don't want to be a pirate! I'm a hero! A hero can't be a pirate!!!!!

Ringabel | Bravely Default
[It certainly isn't the first time he's found himself in an unfamiliar place with little to no idea how one got there and in possession of a strange book, so Ringabel is taking this little abduction in stride. Carrying three books is getting to be a bit much, so his first order of business was to find a nice satchel for himself and chat up the girl in the shop for a while. Now, he's returned to the fountain plaza to see what he can find out about this little pickle he's found himself in. He's pretty sure this isn't where he wanted to go, but finding his way back to the nearest convenient glowing pillar of light isn't going to happen without a little information and perhaps a charming lady or two to travel with.
If you're a bewildered, lost little lamb staring at the fountain in confusion and shock, expect a flashily-dressed young man with excellent hair to stick his nose in your business and start up a conversation. If you're a lovely young lady, expect the tone to be more suave and flirtatious than you'd expect from someone so recently yanked through the fabric of reality.]
Good afternoon. Lovely weather we're having, isn't it? It looks like you and are in the same boat, so to speak.
B
[It's a balmy day on board the ship. There's not much to do, so Ringabel has his journal out and is spending his afternoon idly sketching away. If you look over his shoulder, you'll see rather charming pictures of most of the crew, which he's happy to show off. You may also catch a glimpse of a picture or two of a girl with a big black bow in her hair. It's up to you whether you want to take the risk of asking him about those.]
A
[Gene gives him a flat star, looking up from his current page. He's been flipping through pages and reading the various messages left by other displaced folks.]

Gene Starwind | Outlaw Star
Tch. What a buncha' hassle this is. I can't get a decent signal anywhere.
[Gene probably looks like a damned crazy person to anyone from a place with no higher technology. He's currently wandering around the fountain, holding one hand to his ear as he tries to contact his ship.]
Guys? Yo, guys! It's me, Gene. Come get me, already! Seriously, the joke's over, enough with the marooning business.
(Prompt 2 - Lost at Sea):
[It seems that your latest fishing haul has pulled up a rather strange-looking catch. One that's about six feet tall, with red hair and a scarred cheek. He's still for a moment, before finally waking with a start, coughing up sea-water all over the deck.]
Ah! Shit! Damn it! I'm takin' on water, the ship's gonna'...gonna'...
[Then he realizes he most certainly is NOT going to die, and quickly hops to his feet. Time to play it cool.]
Ha ha ha! Once gain, the old Starwind luck pulls through! Just as I planned it. Granted, I no longer have a ship, but sometimes you have to make sacrifices for something greater!
So, which one of you lucky people saved me, today?
(Prompt 3 - Chilling on Deck):
[Gene likes his weapons a LOT, which is why he's currently doing a meticulous cleaning of the components of his double-barreled blaster. Anyone from a more modern Earth might recognize that he's singing "Another One Bites the Dust" to himself.]

Randall || Monsters Inc.
[There's a large purple lizard-like thing inspecting the fountain and reading the inscription with narrowed eyes. He looks like he's either angry or he's squinting because he's finding it hard to read. He's muttering under his breath.]
This doesn't make a lot of sense...
B. Around the ship
[Randall quite enjoyed ordering his crewmates around, even when he's not in charge, or at least brushing up on his scaring tactics by sneaking up on others. It was fun to hear the sounds they'd make. A pity he had nothing here to capture screams. But he had to make do with what he could and it seemed that power had other sources here anyway. Now he probably should be scrubbing the decks or something but he wants to find something more interesting. Maybe he can find an unwilling target or even a more productive conversation.]
A
The poem, you mean?

Rogue : X-Men Evolution
[It's been, well, a long week. There's been an attack from the Navy, a lot of sailing, some getting lost, a few hostile locals... To be quite honest, Rogue is beat.
Which is why, during her off hours, she's in the crew's mess area, just sitting at a table.
She has something out, just a small playing card. The Queen of Hearts. She laughs a little, tired.]
Lucky lady, huh? Hasn' been too lucky lately.
B)
[Before the fight, Rogue was dodging everything. All her gymnastic and martial arts training had paid off, keeping her out of the hands or shots or blades of anyone who might have wanted to hurt her.
But then, well, a master swordsman had cornered her. No one else had been right there to help, so she'd used her last resort. Taken off her glove and grabbed hold of him until he passed out.
Now, as the dust settled, she lowered her sword. Her form and speed were that of someone who'd practiced for years, and she looked around. That others might not know what she could do hadn't really occurred to her. All she really grasped at the moment was that they were victorious. Battered and bruised, yes, but alive.]
Y'all okay?
["Okay" was probably too kind a word, but... She couldn't bring herself to ask if everyone was alive.]
C)
Okay... This? Is pretty amazin'.
[For as much as she hated this place sometimes with its battles and its dangerous weather and its sailing, there were little moments that at least tried to make up for it.
Like the view from one waterfall of another, both cascading down into a whirling pool that expanded into an otherwise placid lake. It was, quite frankly, breathtaking.
Well worth the hike up.]
C
It is really beautiful. [She leans back on her hands, obviously relaxed.] I've always loved waterfalls. Did you know there's an island here with one that goes both up and down?
...This is too perfect a combination. Seriously.

High Inquisitor Darklaw | Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
[Darklaw can be found standing on the bridge, her eyes narrowing as the enemy ship that was but a spot on the horizon not too long ago keeps growing larger and larger by any second now. The High Inquisitor may not have been in this world for a long time, but there is little doubt in her mind about the intentions of the other crew.]
... It would appear negotiations are out of question.
[The woman turns around, her long cape fluttering in the strong wind as she gestures to the others on board.]
To your posts, men! It is time for us to prove the superior strength of our crew!
[Hey, a little dramatics has never killed anyone, right?]
b. exploring an island
[At the first glance, it seemed like this new island they have stumbled upon was inhabited. That was before Darklaw decided to investigate the edge of the forest; after all, as a Knight of Inquisition, she's fairly accustomed to this type of work, even if it's usually done on the crime scene instead. While doing so, she discovered a wire that was certainly a part of some snare, as well as a set of footprints, both of which suggest there's someone else on the island. As such, the High Inquisitor turns to her comrades to share what she found out.]
It seems we are not alone here. Stay on your guard.
[It has yet to be determined whether the natives will turn out to be hostile or not, but better safe than sorry.]
c. day at sea
[It's a nice day out, but Darklaw chooses to spend it in the crew quarters, relaxing while reading a book. Judging by the title, it tells stories of the famous pirates of this world... so along with taking it easy comes doing the research. Is this woman familiar with the word "break"? Apparently no.
Care to join her for a chat?]
[ooc: Since the game has yet to be released in the US, I will be avoiding major story spoilers in my tags!]
A
[Gene takes a moment to assess the situation, looking through binoculars at the other ship.]
I'd say they're almost in range. We need to get our side pointed at them.
Karai | TMNT 2012
[Maybe if she'd been wearing her casual clothes, Karai would be walking around... casually. But not only is she in her armor, given where she was yanked from, but the people around here are dressed like they're in a Medieval Times restaurant. What gives?
For now, she's keeping to the shades, and occasionally jumping from one rooftop to the next. Any good ninja knows how to survey without being seen... but then, she hasn't always been 'good'.]
B - Treasure
[Actual treasure? She won't lie, this is pretty cool. She digs her hands through the coins and jewelry, lifting it up to see it sparkling in the light. This stuff can and will come in handy...
... So she'll hide as much as it for herself as she can, before the crewmates come along. A few she hides in her small sack, as an obvious decoy, and she begins sliding some small pieces down her clothes. Just one problem so far- ]
Ah! C-Cold! Cold gold!
B
That seems an inefficient way to hide treasure.

So uhh...I dunno if this is some sick joke. But could someone get me out of here before this thing dives. I'm not in the mood for a bath right now and being a turtle riding a turtle, it just doesn't feel right man. [ insert baby poot noises. ] Oh yeah! If you take me, you gotta take Lil Raphie too.

Pollution | Neil Gaimen and Terry Prachett's Good Omens
He looks deathly pale, more than simple sea-sickness, but believe you me, Mr White looks like that all the time.
If fact, having spied the amount of cooking grease and oil just thrown over the side, sitting on top of the water like a chocking blanket, he feels a lot better. But not enough not to hurl again.]
Red | Transistor
[It was so new. So different. The sights, the smell... The people. Completely out of her element, but then again, that wasn't particularly new for her. The former singer remained in her quarters throughout the morning, keeping to herself and mulling over her thoughts.
Red had almost fallen back asleep until she heard someone knocking on her door. As she came to, she stood up and opened the door.
A brief hum at her visitor, wondering what it is that they wanted.]
Pirate Attack
[Red was not a fighter by nature. What combat prowess she had picked up had been mostly improvised and with an admittedly atypical weapon. As it was now, she was corned, with a gash on her leg. The blood was still flowing and she could no longer stand up. In her current state, she knew what was coming.
It was only a matter of time.
Though until that moment came, Red raised her cutlass at the one who was about to strike her down.
Defiant until the end.]
[ooc: Red is mute. All she can manage are hums, groans, and other such noises.]
Re: Red | Transistor
HOLD IT RIGHT THERE!
[Swinging from one of the loose riggings on the ship is Ryuunosuke, who delivers a swift kick to the side of the assailant's head. Landing on the deck, she raises her fists in a stance.]
Thought you'd get away with attackin' someone defenseless, huh?
[Even if Red wasn't completely defenseless, she was downed. Pirates, what scum. Turning her head towards Red, she looks down at her leg.]

Miranda Tate / Talia Al Ghul - The Dark Knight Rises
[The ship rolled and pitched violently, entirely at the mercy of the great waves and winds amidst the storm at sea. Talia Al Ghul was on one of the yardarms, determined to follow the captain's orders to furl the sails. She was on the last tie, gripping the wooden extension with full force with her thighs as her hands worked to knot the rope. She was barely used to the rigging at all, let alone in these conditions, but she'd done what was expected of her.
It was, after all, nothing compared to the climb of the pit.
The last knot secured, she scurried down the shroud, leaping onto the deck. At that moment, the ship rolled starboard, which meant her carefully chosen footing shifted as she landed, and she slid, down onto her knees from the pitch aft and slid into one of the starboard guns, which she used to haul herself up, soaking wet but grinning.
At least it wasn't a dull life.]
B)
[As the vendors hawked their wares, Miranda Tate glided through their stalls. She tested the spices, tried small samples of offered fruits, breads, and cheeses. Being on her own as long as she had and having as refined a palette as she claimed (she could eat gruel, when it was all she had to survive, but she did prefer good food) meant she'd learned to cook. Learning to cook meant she had a valuable, marketable skill.
Her other skills were best kept quiet.
So, she was doing the shopping for her crew. Enough to last her galley for two or three months. She had a list, though it was much more of a 'suggestion' than anything concrete. After all, this wasn't her world. Things weren't always going to line up easily, but that was why she tasted everything, hunting up possible substitutes and asking the name of anything she didn't know.]
C)
[Running water was a luxury, and privacy was even more of one. Luxuries were something she could do without.
So, the woman was on deck with a bucket of sea water, a clean rag, a bar of soap, and a jar of oil. Her hair was bound up with a thin piece of cordage, and she had stripped almost entirely. What little she had left on were garments of her own stitching: boxer-like shorts for underwear and a kind of strapless bra, fabric wrapped around her chest and stitched to hold its shape.
Crude works, but what she had come in had worn out months ago.
Without the barest hint of shame, she rinses the dirt away with the water, soap, and rag before applying the oil to her skin.]
C
What'sa point? It's like a hundred degrees out. You're just gonna start smelling bad again in hours.

Hester Shaw | Mortal Engines
1: ...She heads straight for you when she enters the tavern, and everywhere you hear murmurs over mugs of ale: 'Scar' they say, or 'Two Face', captain of the Shrike . "I hear you're the man/woman I gotta go to..." She says.
2: ...But she's still human and can be beaten. Unable to rise from the ground, blood staining the sand she looks up at you defiantly, daring you to finish her off. Even though it's bound to hurt her more, she grabs for the end of your weapon....
3: ...Yet despite her fearsome appearance and abrasive as hell, snarky personality, she's not completely a jerkass. Sail with her a few months and don't judge her idiosyncratic ways and she might open up a teeeensy bit.
"'M bored. Tell me 'bout where you're from." She says, open mouthedly (she has no choice about that, really) munching on hardtack. The waves and moon slip by in the night, seemingly moving and not at the same time, ancient and peaceful, for the moment.]
3
"Oh, the usual," she says flippantly. Well, for her it's the usual sort of place. Hester's mileage may vary. "Lots of people, lots of taverns that serve piss-poor ale, the odd problem with demons and blood mage abominations and darkspawn wanting to kill you, an occasional war. Nothing terribly exciting."
If she sounds unenthused, it's because she doesn't particularly want to talk about it.

Yasaburo Shimogamo | Uchouten Kazoku
Yasaburo's favorite hobby is peoplewatching and his strange new sorroundings give him plenty of opportunity to do so. He's disguised himself as various objects around the island: a statue of Bravery Overcoming The Waves, a daruma in the shop, a hertefore unknown addition to the fountain, a pair of ugly curtains, a boulder.
And there he stay, watching dates meet up, deals go down, tall tales being told, confessions made to someone or noone, madmen muttering, merchants hawking their wares, crews returning boisterous with victory or sullen with disgrace.
[2]
Yasaburo's also quick to realize the information value of the tavern. Tongues tend to loosen with alcohol and stories come spilling off of them. Sometimes they're true and useful, clues that may lead to the shards. Sometimes they're outright horseshit. Yasaburo is fine with either, as he'll either learn something useful or be entertained either way.
The tanuki plies his companion with beer and the subtle probing and redirecting of someone used to dealing with drunks.

Princess Luna | My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
[People in town may have heard an awful lot of furious ear-shattering shouting earlier in the day. And seen some unexplained lightning and thunderclouds. But Luna's calmed down and had a few things explained to her by now.
Now, at least the shouting is not angry.]
Greetings, fellow travelers and kidnapees! I, Princess Luna of Equestria, seek traveling companions to aid me in the operation of mine newly purchased vessel! Interviews shall be conducted beginning immediately!
B:
HAHAHAHAAAAAAAA!!!!
[The ship is caught in a terrible storm, bucking and pitching upon the roiling waves. Luna is standing at the helm, wheel in her grip and laughing merrily.]
RAGE ON, O SKIES! This is so much FUN! [She prances happily in place as lightning strikes light up the sky.] We withdraw our comments about the uncontrolled nature of human weather!
