See you during the application round!
♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?
♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!
♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!
♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!
♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!
♦ Arrr, here be buried treasure, but not all that glitters is gold! Will ye be telling your mateys what ye found, or keeping it for yourselves?

[Because she wouldn't do it. She didn't trust herself enough for that.]
'Cause I don' mess with things like that.

[It's an easy answer. Because she's experienced it.]
Moment someone brushes my skin with a knuckle? Down for the count. Good few minutes last time.
[Stupid Gambit.]

[He slowly raises back up to his feet, stretching out to crack his back a few times. Then he fixed his binoculars toward the west, looking into a densely forested area.]
But it's your life. If you're comfortable pushing your limits, then there's not much to do about that. There IS, however, something to do about fixing up our food supplies. I just saw some tasty looking animals over that way.

[Plus, well. The way she's seen it work, when people find out about her powers, they want one thing: to use her.
And that'd come with his offer to "teach" her.]

Depends what we're huntin' with.

What're y' shootin' with that? An' how big're we talkin'?

Every now and then you have to blast a guy. Of course, sometimes it turns out to be a cyborg, which is a hell of a lot harder.

[She has to pause, shake her head, and just think for a minute. So, they use these guns against people. That's not important right now. Because there are a lot of reasons to use guns.
Have to protect yourself, after all. But.]
So. Like I said-- How big?
What guage we talkin'? What shot? What barrel? And what're y' plannin' on huntin' here?
[Because that all has to be taken into consideration from where she's sitting.]

[It sounds like she wants damage specs, too. Unfortunately, Gene isn't good on all the technical stuff. He's more visual than that.]
Alright, see this tree I was leaning on? Both barrels will tear it in half at the trunk. Fell the tree immediately. As for what I hunt, those strange animals I was just scoping look interesting. I doubt I'll need something that big for them, though. More for protection in case larger predators are around, and my pistol isn't getting the job done.

[Oh dear. Her head hurts. So, so bad.
This is just...]
You evah been huntin'? 'Cause neither o' those things are gonna do you any good, darlin'.

[No filter there. It just comes out as she half gapes at him.]

Ha ha ha! I've definitely been called worse! Relax, it'll all work out in the end. It always does.

[Because, well, she might not have a good gun, but she can manage. Certainly better than he can. A pistol won't do him much good... and the blaster he was talking about would obliterate any meat.
But, hey. She'll manage a meal for herself, at least.]

[It's said as she finished swallowing a piece of bird.
It as a sort of... pheasant-quail-dove hybrid thing. Not delicious. Especially since she really didn't cook. But it wasn't raw, and she'd found spice sort of things to cook with it.
...It was a crappy little meal, but it was food.]

...Anyway, the point is, I DID manage to hunt and kill something. Then it fell off a ravine when I was trying to haul it up. At least I still got something to remember it by.
no subject
[It's easy enough to say, offering an easy smirk as she took another bite of the very bland meat.]
