♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

♦ Arrr, here be buried treasure, but not all that glitters is gold! Will ye be telling your mateys what ye found, or keeping it for yourselves?

We are, foolish boy. Look to the stars.

[That gold hook is now pointed firmly at the skyline above them, through the window.]

You can change the history books. You can change the will of the people. You can't change the stars. No matter where you go in the world, they don't move. Do ANY of these formation look similar to you? Has anyone even heard of the World Government?

Regardless of the "how" of it, we're not on our world.

[Crocodile's way ahead of him; he hasn't approached anyone about anything thus far and as for references, he's not seen a wanted poster or--

Maybe that should've tipped him off, but there being a lack of such posters around pirate grounds -- that isn't so odd.

It's difficult, though, to take what he's saying as legit. Following the motion and taking a half-assed peep beyond the window..he's still not so sure. Accepting everything you've known until now as...a nonfactor, now, will do that.

For now, he'll just assume this is similar to visiting Skypiea or Fishman Land.]

Technically, you do. We're somehow "outside" of time. Things will be as you left them, when you leave.

That doesn't make any sense.

This place doesn't make sense, but this is how it is. Believe me or do not, it hardly matters.

[This is not rewarding at all. He's somehow more tense now than he had been earlier.]
