See you during the application round!
♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?
♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!
♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!
♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!
♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!
♦ Arrr, here be buried treasure, but not all that glitters is gold! Will ye be telling your mateys what ye found, or keeping it for yourselves?
Rider (Francis Drake) | Fate/Extra
[Truth be told, it didn't take Rider long at all to get the hang of things here. Piracy was her specialty after all, and from the looks of things it seemed experience on a boat was a rare thing here, let alone experience being a successful captain. Shouldn't be too difficult to snatch up a good crew and whip them into shape, she thinks. This place was even nice enough to provide her with some coin to buy a ship. Of course it wasn't nearly enough for her tastes.
Not that any measurable amount would be enough.
Maybe you were saving up to buy something really nice. Or maybe you wanted to grab a bite to eat. Whatever the case, not long after you pass by a rather striking woman in red, your pockets seem to feel a bit lighter than normal. Shame it's not hard to figure out just who done it when there's not many people around aside from the aforementioned woman.]
[II]
[It's been a few days since Rider first showed up in Empieza, but she doesn't seem too worried. A mental checklist of all the things she needs to do has been made, and so she sees no reason not to celebrate the completion of her hard work by stopping by the tavern for a large glass of booze. Or, you know, twelve. As a matter of fact she's even turned it into a contest and already drunk three poor souls under the table. It's quite the show.
Once she finishes her last mug, she slams it on the counter and lets out a cheerful sigh.]
Ahh...rum always tastes the best when you won a keg's worth. Shame none o' these poor losers held much of a chance. Any of you sadsacks out there think you can do better? Winner pays.

Really? Petty thievery? At least save it for the ocean.

I'd say I've been around long enough to know that it's only petty when you're on the receiving end. When you're on the taking end, it's just business, mate.
[Though that sand is definitely something else. Is he a Servant as well? Some type of Magi, perhaps? Not likely, unless he was pretty advanced. Though this doesn't seem like the Moon Cell...]
Still. I suppose I can play nice every now and again. [And out comes the bag of coins.] Though not too nice. What say we wager over it? Double or nothing.
no subject
A wager? On what, pray tell?

Nothing too major. Just some "friendly" competition. Three simple contests; you pick one, I pick one, and then we both agree on the last. Whoever wins gets double what's in this sack. [Another jingle. Wouldn't want him thinking it's empty.]

[Not bad. She wonders briefly if all the people here are this cautious, before deciding against it. It was obvious this man's aura was different than normal. Not unlike herself, really.]
Of course, if I give you this sack to count the gold, what leverage do I have to keep you here? None, surely.

It's a far better deal than me simply dealing with you and taking it back by force.
