See you during the application round!
♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?
♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!
♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!
♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!
♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!
Amika Stattenholme | Original
Amika was still finding her sea legs; which is to say she was still stumbling, gingerly and with dainty caution, about the ship, doubly unsteady from the effects of both the waves and of being away from her homeland. Riverboats were all fine and well, all noblemen and women of Hyem could sail them, but the ocean was very much something else again. She was still a little terrified every time she dared fix her gaze at the curving blue horizon.
It was going to take time, like everything else, like having to do physical labor and living off stored food and having no proper privacy to speak of. Awful things. At least the sea had its beauty. She padded, ever careful, over to the railing and stood leaning on it, staring down into the waves.
"At least it is a clear day," she muttered to herself, looking for comfort in the little things.

The voice comes from behind her, surprisingly close for how loud it's projected. The young red-headed woman stands with her hands casually tucked behind her back and a friendly grin plastered on her face.
"I saw you stumbling around a few seconds ago," Codi adds, brow creasing with the slightest hint of concern. "You might want to take a step back from the edge."

She turns and, rather meekly, follows Codi's suggestion. She is quite conscious still that on the ship, she is still more extra weight than she is of use, and is always inclined to do as she is told.
"It is kind of you to worry, frowe. But I must stumble a while if I am to someday walk properly." She too frowns a little, glancing down at her own feet. "I should perhaps be grateful that I am not queasy..."

"'Frowe' is an interesting name," she giggles, holding out a hand (both as a greeting and to steady her less-than-sure-footed companion), "but most people call me Codi. What should I call you?"
