Welcome to your monthly Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where new players can test out their characters' voices, old players can try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

[Roxas is pretty tired, however he doesn't need Winry to do it for him. He drags himself up the ladder slowly, one step at a time. His body trembles as he makes his way, a little cold. Finally he reaches the top and falls over the edge, breathing hard.]

[hands4healing]

[Winry pulls him away from the edge, pulling the ladder back up and securing it quickly before turning her attention to the wet young man on the deck. Squatting down, she touches his shoulder.]

Are you okay? Not hurt?

[heartismyown]

I'm okay. [Roxas said between breaths.] I don't think I'm hurt. [He smiles a little but looks at her a little confused.] Who are you?

[hands4healing]

Good! I'm glad. [Winry beams at him.]

I'm Winry. And I'm going to get you a towel, so you can dry off. Are you thirsty?

[She's talking as she gets to her feet, heading for the cabins belowdeck.

Yeah, I think so.

[Roxas calls after her and pushes his wet hair out of his eyes. He leans back against the railing as he waits for Winry to come back.]

[hands4healing]

[He isn't sure if he's thirsty? Winry thinks about that, but she brings back a towel, and a mug of water.]

Here you are!

[heartismyown]

Thanks! [He grins and towels off his hair first. Roxas pauses to sip the water and goes back to it.]

I was kind of...[He seems to be thinking about it.] Scared out there.

[hands4healing]

Mm. It is scary to be out in the ocean like that.

Do you remember how you got out there? [Just because most people wound up in the square at Isla Empieza didn't mean they all would.]

[heartismyown]

I...yes! I got it memorized. [Roxas taps his head.] I was on a ship, with Sora. But there was lots of water and I fell into the sea.

[He thinks about it a moment.] Not really like the beach though.

[hands4healing]

Sora? Do you remember the name of the ship? [Because Winry doesn't recognize the name 'Sora'. She might recognize the name of the ship, though. Maybe.]

No, this is nothing like the beach!

[heartismyown]

[Roxas shakes his head.]

It's okay. I'll find him somehow. I always wanted to go to the beach!

[hands4healing]

[The kid could give her whiplash.]

Oh? Why did you always want to go to the beach?

[heartismyown]

Well...Axel said we could! For vacation, you know? Like friends. Him and me...

[He scratches his head.]

I feel like I'm forgetting something.

[hands4healing]

[Yeaaaaah, whiplash.]

All right, do you remember the name of your boat?

[heartismyown]

[Roxas shakes his head helplessly.]

No...uh...um...[He points at her.] Who are you again?

[hands4healing]

[Winry blinks a couple of times. Well, it could be explained by stress, right?]

Winry.

[heartismyown]

Winry. [Roxas repeats to himself.]

It's okay. I'll find it. Or Sora will find me. What's the name of this boat?

[hands4healing]

[Winry nods, finding things, well, yes, she understood the need to do that.]

This is The Panthress.

[heartismyown]

Maybe I can find some way to tell him.

[Roxas isn't sure about that. He scratches his head.]

Or should I just wait here?

[hands4healing]

Well, we could make a post on the journal? That way, if your friend is looking for you, he'd know where you are!

[heartismyown]

Oh right! There's a journal!

[He pulls it out of his pocket, and even though it's a little waterlogged, it seems okay.]

Thanks, that's a great idea, Winry.

[hands4healing]

You've have thought of it, too. You're just a little stressed out right now.

[heartismyown]

It's kind of wet though. Maybe I should wait for it to dry. I think I'm safe here...right?

[hands4healing]

You're very safe here.

And we can use my journal to contact your friend! Mine's dry.

[heartismyown]

That sounds like a good idea. [He nods a little.]

Sora should know what to do.
