Welcome to your monthly Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where new players can test out their characters' voices, old players can try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! ♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

[Doug's brows raise at that and he grins, before hopping down off the rail and heading to the wheel.]

Not a clue. Can't be that hard though.

[ He'd gotten a navigator and a few of the other sailors could handle all of the rigging and things.]

I mean, we'll just sail till we hit land. [He's not entirely serious, he does have a map.]

I wanna get a feel for this pirate thing.

[Really? REALLY? Ugh, why did she get herself involved with this kid?]

And once we hit land - just going to... pillage? Whereas I can say I've never been a pirate before, I do know a lot about exploring places.

Tch. I just hope we hit land before we run out of supplies. And it's worth our while. That is what you should be worrying about if you don't have a clue, Captain.

[acrobratics]

Hmm... not sure yet. Guess we'll see how the locals react. I wouldn't mind a fight.

[Man, no principles to live by or worrying about the repercussions of hurting humans. Though he could see why they're important back where he's from. It would be chaos otherwise.]

Well, yeah, I'm not an idiot. Don't worry, we won't run out of supplies.

Someone's already sneaking extra rations.

[It wasn't her, but she noticed when she went to sneak extra. If someone else was already doing it, she wasn't going to step into that particular fire.]

Already? [He sighs and shakes his head.]

Maaaan, I didn't want to have to do this shit, guess it was too much to ask that my crew not underestimate me cause of how I look.
