Welcome to your monthly Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where new players can test out their characters' voices, old players can try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

[Sorry, kiddo. You're not getting more than that, just yet.]

My name is Roxas! Who are you?

[That's okay, you don't have to talk, Roxas can do all the talking for both of you.]

[This level of enthusiasm...is odd. Clearly, Roxas doesn't get out much, or something. Most people are wary/scared/etc. of him.

He'd wonder where the rest of the name is, but there's a strange mix of people in this place. He's already assuming the guy's not from Japan, based on the strange name.]

Shinjiro Aragaki.

[Roxas isn't afraid of scary looking guys, he mostly hung out with them.]

That's a different name. What do you do? What sorts of things do you like?

[Wow, so he doesn't remember signing up for a game of Twenty Questions.]

...What? [SLOW DOWN, KID.]

I'm a student. [Pause.] ...Why do you need to know these things?

[Roxas blinks. Why not?]

I don't know, I want to learn things about you. Do you like school? Did you ever have summer vacation? Was it good?

[getspunched]

...[Well, if he ever actually went to class, he might be able to answer this.]

Look...[His expression tenses just a bit. He seriously doesn't want to get into the subject of school.] ...I'm sure there's plenty of other people that'd be more interesting to talk to.

Everyone is interesting to talk to.

[Oh. He wasn't aware he was talking to someone who's literally met everyone, ever.

His apologies, kiddo.

But, no, seriously. Shinjiro is definitely far from exciting in the conversation area. Really.]

Well, you are entitled to your own opinion. Think whatever you like. [Just. Think it over there, or something, okay?]

Well, I try! What other kinds of things do you like?

Huh? [What do you mean you try?]

...

Look, you're better off not wasting your time trying to get to know me.

[heartismyown]

[Roxas blinks at him.]

Why not? Do you forget things too?

[getspunched]

[Did he forget things?

...If only that were the case.]

Because, we're all from different places. Once everyone returns home, we won't see each other, again. So, there's no point becoming all buddy-buddy with one another.

[Yeah... Yeah! That's the reason. Totally.]

[Roxas blinks at him a few times. That makes no sense whatsoever.]

But you're here now. Don't you want to be friends?

[getspunched]

[Sorry, Roxas. His logic doesn't always tend to make sense to other people--just himself. Also, it doesn't help he completely ignored that question on whether, or not, he forgets things.]

Like I said, there's no point.
