Welcome to our first Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where players can test out their characters' voices, try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

[And thus comes the eye roll to end all eye rolls, along with an exasperated sigh. Jack? Is an idiot, and this proves that he's an idiot, and really, if he had something he could lob at his head, he would.

But there's nothing near to hand besides his spyglass, and he actually needs that.

So he sucks in a breath, and shouts over Jack's horrendous singing, knowing very well he's the louder of the two: He's spent more years yelling over the wind and the surprising noise on a ship's deck, and his lungs are built for it.]

I know you hear me, Jack Sparrow. Quit acting like an absolute child. [And pay attention when he's insulting you.] I see you found yourself a fine vessel. Good job, there, Jack.

"Pretty good at dancing, okay at singing, and I've never even tried that last one," Kagerou laughed, imagining herself even attempting.

Oh, okay! Well, lets go find them! [Starts packing up her things!]

[And he's wrapped in tentacles. Which is kind of cool. He's never had that happen before] Takoyaki. And this cool stuff. [he holds up the wiggly sea urchin] It's pretty neat.

[Marco is fishing, using a gold hoop earring as both lure and hook, when he spots something a little strange in the water. Are those... horns?]

Ahoy, Miss Fishwoman! [He reels in his line so as not to let her get hurt, just in case.] No offense miss, but careful round these parts, eh? Lots of rocks and currents. Though I'm sure you can handle yourself.

That is true. Though we transformed all the aer into mana. So the harmful monsters should stop multiplying so rapidly. And we should be able to move outside the barriers from now on. Although we don't have barriers anymore but Flynn is leading the Royal Knights. So I have confidence he will do fine.

[ Hear it she does, and she looks up to investigate . . . just in time for Luffy to crash right into her. She goes down with a yelp and a flail, dropping the two pretty hairpins she'd been examining. ]

I dunno. Everyone's a stranger at first right? [he's standing on the dock with his hands folded behind his head, looking for anyone familiar] Maybe you'll find someone you really like.

[Marco sits down next to Sora, and just offers him a bowl of soup. Silently. Feel free to ask why though.]

[Luke let out an annoyed growl, springing to his feet his feet and getting in Ace's face.]

D-don't say crap like that! I'm the captain! People are supposed to listen to me!

[Ace lowered himself a bit, poking the suddenly very beaten up young man. Naturally, like any other pirate, he took the flint-lock right off of him and examined its wares all while listening to Marco. Hey, it was what they did.]

Ahh? Jeez, then nobody else would be able to fight! You'd clear every ship we crossed.

[Ace still snickered at that, knowing it was facetious. With Whitebeard, there had been too many enemies and too many distractions to worry about a lack of people to fight. Even when the old man was alive, there was never a lack of abundance with those wanting to prove themselves--he knew that, personally.]

So, what're you doin' here--wherever the hell we are?

Er, well... there's...

[There's the people that dress him and the people that harp on him for liking his "stupid" coat, and...]

Hunh... guess it doesn't matter much here.

[Marco offers her a hand up. He doesn't look too strange for a freaking talking pineapple but there might be something of a mischievous glint to his eyes.]

[ Waves the hairclips at him, super threateningly, but since she hasn't bought them (yet) she doesn't march over to scold him properly. ]

Luffy spots the flag from a fair distance and paddles closer in his little barrel to peer at the guy on the raft, close enough to hear what he said.

"Gollld?!" A pirates kind of treasure. "Where?! Where?!"

[ Tednug doesn't notice the laughter, he's too focused on GETTING EVERYONE BACK HOME! Yeah, you just keep laughing, wolf-man, you'll totally be singing a different tune once he unlocks the chain of events that'll reveal everything about this place and how to escape! Unless the golden exclamation mark is just a red herring placed there by the Narrator to make Tednug look like a fool, in which case the orc will never leave his room ever again ]

[ He finally runs over to Kurt and holds the piece of paper over his head, bringing with him the terrible smell of Troll Sweat and Oshu'gun Crystal Powder all mixed together into a vicious assault on the sinuses. ]

MY, YOU'RE A TALL ONE!

[ He pauses for a moment. ]

... so, you're not... getting any sudden revelations about some really important thing you need us all to do, are you?

[Marco's just sitting there on the beach, not about to offer a hand to help and watching England pull himself to shore.]

[Are you done coughing up seawater now?] You okay matey?

[He doesn't quiiite fully understand the implications of transferring aer into mana, but hey. She's describing it like it's a good thing, so he'll take her word for it]

I dunno who these Royal Knights and this Flynn guy are, but if you have confidence, then 'm sure you're right about it.

[He cranes his head a bit to peer at the injury on his arm and see how much it has bee healed so far]

[ The green-skinned orc clad in mail armor raises his hand. ]

If it helps, I don't really want ME to be a pirate, either.

Kaguya Houraisan | Touhou Project

[Kaguya had found this change of scenery quite interesting, and had adapted fairly quickly. Purchasing a ship had been quite easy. Finding herself a crew, had actually been easier. Using her charisma, and just a small amount of gold, Kaguya had managed to get herself a handful of loyal followers to run her ship.

Yes, her ship. The Lunar Maiden, a Galleon class ship. She'd made sure to inspect it inside and out before finalizing the deal. Because having to replace her crew in the event of an accident would be a hassle. But it ran very smoothly across the water, and few dared cross the mighty vessel. Of course, if she had the chance, she parlayed with other ships, which nearly always ended up completely in her favor. It was amazing what a little bit of wits and charms could do.

Today, she was back in port to restock on necessary things such as food, new clothing, and other such things. However, Kaguya remained behind with the ship. She would disembark into the town proper once most of her crew had returned in order to purchase things herself. It would also give her a chance to gather information about some of the various islands around this specific area, and perhaps she'd even find some clues about these fragments they were searching for.]

[Sometimes people question how the hell they get mixed up into things that they seriously do not want to get into. And then there's being kidnapped and being forced into a crew, which happened to this guy. He didn't know why his personae weren't responding and without them? Pretty much stuck.

If he's not cooking, he's out wandering the ship. Do you see him?]

[Remember that crew from earlier? Yeah, he managed to get away and is currently exploring the island. Perhaps he could find someone to point him in a direction to the nearest hub; he had to know if any of his friends have arrived.]
