Welcome to our first Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where players can test out their characters' voices, try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

[Did you just say...no, you know what? He's not going to even ask further because this is just incredibly bizarre.]

No, unfortunately. If you're stuck I can tow your boat with mine though. Shouldn't be too much trouble to pull you with me to the nearest island, but I've only got the one motor.

[Emphasizing the word, of course. Because you're saying it wrong and ARGH!!! He can't just leave you here because you're weird but he certainly doesn't have to be nice about bad pronunciation.]

Really?! Thanks, old guy! That'll help a lot! I really thought I was going to die out here.

Old? I'm not old...I'm only nine hundred and three!

[A feeble protest, but that's not...old! Not by his standards anyway...

In any event, he tosses a rope over and ties a knot to his own. Yep, he definitely can't leave you to die or anything, even if you are already annoying him.]

Ehh? Really? That's even older than that old doctor lady! You're pretty cool! [he wondered if doctors usually got that old. Maybe they were a little like turtles.

He ties the knot and then settles himself comfortably in the barrel, glad to not be paddling for once]

I bet you've helped a lot of people, huh?

Well...yeah...I'm the Doctor. That's what I do?

[Clearly. He's got some sense at least, assuming that doctors...even though he's fairly certain Luffy thinks he's actually a doctor and has no idea what being THE Doctor means.]

Who are you, anyway?

[nod nod! He was a pretty good guy then]

I'm Monkey D. Luffy, the one whose going to be King of the Pirates. [yep] If our doctor doesn't show up, do you wanna come with us for a while?

[no one could replace Chopper, no matter how old they were, but having a doctor was still a good idea. Someone could get sick again!]

I'm...not that kind of doctor, really...but if you're sick I know a bit about medicine. I guess I could have a look. Though, you say you name is Monkey D. Luffy? Does the D stand for anything, or do you just have a reallly short middle name?
