See you during the application round!
♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?
♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!
♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!
♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!
♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!
Estelle | Tales of Vesperia
Stop squirming please and let me work! You're going to tear yourself open again at this rate!
B. [Estelle's sipping a rather rank drink without flinching. How many did she have? But it was a cold night and the rum was watered down to keep the chill off.]
It feels like a chill wind tonight...
[Despite this, her eyes were very clear at best.]
C. [A boarding party had lead to swordsmanship, and Estelle was weaving through the crowd, clashing blades and mixing it up with opponents. She was doing rather well, even among the cannonfire. A barrier arte went up and grapeshot raked the shield.]
That was close!
a
S-sorry... -She gave a distinctly puppy-like whine, whimpering in a mix of pain and humiliation.-
Re: a
[The soft light of Estelle's healing artes filled the cabin as the doctor set to work...] Any pain so far?

Ahahahahaha, it works for me either way!
[ Hopefully Estelle does take Agria's advice, because that's all that the other girl gets before Agria's letting off an impressive fire arte towards the enemy ship.
There are perks to being a fire-specialist on the sea. Who needs a cannon? ]
Re: c
[But of course all of that chiding went in one ear and out the other, considering how many times they've done this dance before.]

And look! Now we can watch the enemy ship burn! Their cannons won't be of much use now!

[ A small laugh. Still a crazy one, though. ] Maybe for you it would be.

Am I right?

A!
[With a grumpy sigh, he forced himself to stop fidgeting]
Oh c'mon, it's just a scratch. S'not that bad!
["Just a scratch" indeed]
Re: A!
[Estelle's seen her share of injuries. Her homeworld was not a safe one, even with the immediate threats to the world dealt with so far. She was trying to apply a healing arte but of couse Kaito wasn't making it any easier with his fidgeting.]
Re: A!
[He sits on his free hand and holds as still as he can to give Estelle a chance to apply the healing arte, his shoulders relaxing as the magic does its work and the sting of the injury lessens significantly]
The guy who did this just got lucky.
Re: A!
[Estelle sighed a little, running her hand over the injury a inch over the wound.] We're lucky I can still perform healing artes. There's no mana here, or aer.
Re: A!
Aer?
[Mana was easy enough to figure out; he had played plenty of video games back home. But aer was an entirely new word]
What's that?

Re: A!
. . .
The science of your world is pretty strange.
