See you during the application round!
♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?
♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!
♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!
♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!
♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!
Mindy McCready - Hitgirl.
She might have left a huge portion of your crew beaten and bruised, with maybe a tooth missing or two. Oops. ]

AHHHH What a nice nap!
no subject
It's fine though, she'll point a gun to him and hope that freaks him out so he shut up. ]
Shut the fuck up or I'll throw you off this boat right now.
no subject
Yo. [and then he looks around and notices the boat in the distance. But it looks like she's rowing away from it so...]
Where are we goin'?
no subject
He's either incredibly daft or incredibly strong, could be both. ]
Wherever I feel like going.
no subject
Are you looking for your friends or going on an adventure?
no subject
I'm not wasting them now, and neither should do.
I'm doing what I should here. [ Which she isn't exactly sure what, other then fuck bad people up. ]

None of your business.

[he leans back, resting against a pile of stuff and looking at the stars. This was a lot better than being in a barrel all alone. Even if she was kind of grumpy, she was probably just worried about a lot of things. But there was nothing to worry about on a clear night like this. But she was from a different world, wasn't she? So maybe she wasn't used to it. And thinking of it...]
What's your world like?
[since hearing about other places has always been pretty cool]
no subject
Miranda is just glad it wasn't her watch. Therefore, it is not her fault.
Still, as the boat is being lowered into the water, she leans against the side rail and peers down at the barely visible girl.]
Quite a scene you've left up here. What ship are you with?
[It isn't her ship, after all. She's sailing with someone else, learning the ropes. But this girl... Well. She likes her already. Quite a lot.]
no subject
My own ship. What's it to you?
[ She looked up at her, letting her guard up anyway. ]
no subject
[A completely different name than she's given to anyone else. But this girl? She likes this girl.]
I ask because, well. These morons look like they barely put up a fight. Bad position for me to be in if there's ever any real danger.
You, though. [She smirks a little.]
Where'd you learn to fight like that?
no subject
And I'm Hitgirl.
[ she scoffed at that, shrugging. ] They're weak, you might as well be fighting punching bags.
My daddy taught me. He was an even better hero.
no subject
Her mother had taught her, Bane had taught her, she had taught herself, and then her father had taught her.
Her mother had formed her, Bane had shaped her, she had detailed herself, and her father had polished her.
Talia smiles faintly, her eyes never leaving the girl.]
I could always use a proper ally.
no subject
Ally? huh?
no subject
[She almost laughs as she says it, but what stops her is that it's too true. People like her don't just appear. Fighting skills like this girl obviously has aren't just taught.
There's always something darker, something that eats away at a person's core.]
But we're rare, you and me. Women who can take care of ourselves and don't apologize for it. I'm not looking for friends, just allies.
no subject
She nodded. She fights alone... but having an ally here wouldn't hurt. ]
I guess I can agree to this.
no subject
[No trust, no friendship, no fighting side by side.
Sailing.
An alliance in close quarters, perhaps, but nothing more certain than that. Easy enough to go their separate ways at any port.]
no subject
[ She looked away, brushing a hand against the ropes. ]
So... is this it for now? I should be heading away before they catch up.
no subject
With any luck, we'll meet again at a better time.
no subject
A ninja follows orders, after all. That's part of who they are. ]
It would be best for you if you returned that.
[ All of it. ]
