Welcome to our first Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where players can test out their characters' voices, try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

Heh... Yeah. Sorry. I didn't wake you up, did I?

[alphantom]

Not at all. I was already up. ['Cause who would want to miss this show?] Please, don't let me interrupt.

[soundandfurry]

Well, you know... We only howl at the moon because we're lonely. Now that you're here, I don't need to, right?

[alphantom]

Is that so? ...I'm glad, then. Not that I minded the performance. [chuckle] The others might disagree, though. It is rather late.

[soundandfurry]

I'd sing a more proper song if my instincts would allow it. But, it's the same every month, right? -And this late at night, with only the moonlight making her visible, people were less likely to notice her fur. It made her feel a bit better about potentially waking up the crew.-

[alphantom]

I suppose it is. They'll have to get used to it, if they haven't already. And anyway...I don't think anyone could fault you for doing what comes naturally.

[soundandfurry]

Humans... tend to do that a lot, actually.

[alphantom]

Ah, well. [Her smile turns sheepish.]

I've found they usually like to complain, more than they're actually bothered by something. You'd be surprised what even they can get used to.

[soundandfurry]

I trust the crew to go along with that, sure, but... Other humans, not so much. -After all, her kind had been hunted into extinction.-

[alphantom]

That's kind of a pessimistic way of thinking, isn't it... [Not necessarily saying she's wrong, though.]

[soundandfurry]

I just have my reasons for being self-conscious about it.

[alphantom]

Mm...I understand. It's been...a very long time since I was around humans I didn't know. It's hard for me to be objective in that case, but...

Well, that's only speaking for myself.

[soundandfurry]

Well... Thanks for understanding, in any case.

[alphantom]

Ah...it's nothing, but...you're welcome, I suppose.

[soundandfurry]

The moon... It's really gorgeous tonight.

[alphantom]

It is. It's amazing how bright it is from down here... [She straightens up and breathes deeply, as though she could take in the moon beams with every inch of her body.] Getting to see a view like this...I feel very lucky.

[soundandfurry]

Heh. It suits you. The light I mean. Me, well, I just get all hairy. -She idly rubbed at her sleeve.-

[alphantom]

Oh, it isn't that bad. You looked rather majestic a minute ago.

[soundandfurry]

Flatterer. Trust me, I'm a total fuzzball right now. And not the cute, puppy kind. The awkward "oh wow doesn't she ever shave?" kind.

[alphantom]

But that's wonderful in its own way, don't you think? I can't grow any body hair at all. [Alpha are you serious that's not what she wants to hear]

[soundandfurry]

... See, that just makes me jealous.

[alphantom]

Ahaha, sorry! I mean it though...I can't help but be impressed by things like that. Besides, if you're confident enough, people won't think it's awkward at all.
