Welcome to our first Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where players can test out their characters' voices, try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

[ ... There is a woman in a rather bizarre outfit, actually, who looks nothing like a pirate. More like witch. She's even got a broom. Still, she can't be older than twenty-something, brown hair, pink makeup, odd flower-mark on her face (though, a good eye would note it is not a tattoo but a brand seared right into the flesh), yeah... she's the opposite of "seaworthy-looking material". ]

Oh? Is it the clothes, I wonder, Pirate-san? Should we all change into a uniform of swashbuckling adventurers? I'm not a pirate. I'm a magician. But you know something? Magic is far more valuable than fifteen good sailors. Know why?

His is clearly superior.

[That stereotype of a witch is still a hundred or so years in the future for him, and given the way he's seen others dress, well. He can't say she's any odder than they are.

And I'm afraid I'll just have to cut you off right there, lass, as I'd take fifteen good sailors over a witch any day.

[A pause. And a smirk.]

[ For that, you're getting a flower to appear on your hat, Barbossa. ]

But I guess I can't fault you for wanting to do things the hard way, what with all that masculinity and all~

[She's lucky he can't actually see it, or there would be a hissy fit of the greatest proportions. One that would include offering her a new hole to breathe from.]

Excuse me? A witch be a witch, no matter what words they try to cloak themselves in. Had enough of your kind, plenty able to do it without magic, so if ye'd be so kind.
