Welcome to our first Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where players can test out their characters' voices, try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

[Why was she keeping an orc on the crew again...? Oh, right, he could find his way through almost anything. Well, almost.]

[Izanami, of course, had no issue seeing through her own fog, and approached from behind, tapping him lightly on the shoulder with a foot.]

[ It's nice to be appreciated for having keen senses and sharp eyes! They hopefully compensate for the fact that his reaction to most scary things is a girly scream, i.e. when Izanami taps him on the shoulder. ]

WHATEVER IT WAS, I DIDN'T DO IT!

For one so innocent, you are hardly acting the part.

[Izanami allowed her fog to let up as she crouched down by him.]

Now tell me, dear friend; have you been making any trips to the food stores you shouldn't have?

[razor_hill_hell]

[ Oh no! She knows? She knows! ]

[ Izanami's FIRST sentence is enough to make Tednug break out into a cold sweat. She's scary enough when she's being all normal, but when she's REALLY hacked off, it's better to just spill the beans and hope for the best- ]

Alright, alright, I'm sorry! I was just playing arou- tinkering with the lifeboat, but I'm almost done patching it back up! Seriously, I was just going to grab some more glue and... and...

[ Tednug trails off and frowns in genuine puzzlement as his brain catches up with his ears. ]

... wait, what's this about the food stores?

[thefoglies]

[Izanami raised an eyebrow at that.]

What about the lifeboat?

[Seriously, she hadn't even gotten to inspecting those yet.]

[razor_hill_hell]

[ ... smooth, Tednug, real smooth. ]

I, uh, thought I could make it... you know. Bigger, maybe safer. It ended up juuuust a bit holier, but that's nothin' that a little elbow grease won't fix.

[ He VERY QUICKLY continues talking, hopefully to forestall any attempts at, say, pitching him over the side or just straight-out murdering him. ]

But I reckon the food thing's a little more problematic, so maybe I should go have a look?

[thefoglies]

[....holier...?]

[...no, she was pretty sure he meant hole-ier.]

[It was probably fortunate for him that most of her powers were gone, because he would have been struck with lightning where he stood. Instead, she merely gathered the fog around him again, whirling around on her heal.]

I will deal with you later.

[razor_hill_hell]

[ Yeah, well, it's a good thing she COULDN'T strike him down with lightning, because then Tednug would have no choice but to retaliate using his awesome power of soiling himself in terror. ]

[ ... more to the point, he REALLY doesn't like the sound of later, so he'd better get in some brownie points before later becomes an inevitability. ]

No, seriously, I can help! I'm one of those hunter types, you know!? Maybe there's something there that'll help me track down the real culprit, like- like footprints, or fingerprints, or strange smells!

[Nope, too late, you're in the dog house now. Besides, groveling like that is not exactly the best way to endear herself to you.]
