Welcome to our first Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where players can test out their characters' voices, try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

You'll have to forgive me, then. I'm not a native to this world, so it took me a time just to figure out who Davy Jones was.

All I meant to say was that I don't intend to leave those I find dead or dying that way if I can help it.

Being dead and undead kind of has the same effect. We call it batshit.

Well, good luck with that. I think p'raps you'll find yourself with your hands full, mate, since this be a job that calls for at least one of the parties to die.

A fair guess, but no, not necromancy. When one dies, their soul persists near their body for roughly half a day. I have the ability to heal a body's fatal wounds and then replace the soul in the body. The person is brought completely back to life, their mind completely intact. The non-fatal wounds require some more attention to heal up, but I can do that once they're brought back to life as well.

It only works on those whose souls still persist, however, and whose bodies aren't partway into decay. All but the most powerful gods or creatures lack the ability to truly draw a soul back from whatever plane it disappeared to.

Those like myself in my world made a habit of doing just that. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it failed.

But what use is life if you live it hiding in a church?

However, you'll find some don't take kindly to having themselves dragged back screaming into this life. Consider it...A piece of friendly advice.

I've revived some only to have them turn around and attempt to kill me before. I'd like to see the worst anyone here can do beyond that.

There is very little that I haven't experienced before. Physical pain and torture is nothing.
