Test Drive for September 2013 Apps

Welcome to our first Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where players can test out their characters' voices, try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

[ Lucy watched the other man warily for a few minutes, then glanced towards Aries. ]

Let some of the cannonballs out - we can use them if we need to return fire.

[ Then, back to Zeref, wary. ]

What are you going to do with them anyway? [ Maybe she should call on Sagittarius. He could find the weakpoint in the ship's gun and disable it - she was sure of it. ]

[ Well, they could always use more ammunition of their own, even if this ship had so many wizards on it they could probably stand to sell their canons just for the extra room, and they'd be no worse off for it. Zeref made no motion until she asked her question. ]

Living Magic.

[ A simple, and telling, explanation. ]

Mavis doesn't want me to kill them, and I'd prefer not to myself, unless there was no other way to save your lives. But I have no reservations at all about making these pirates to terrified of us that no sane pirate would ever attack us ever again.

[ Trunuff, but it's only a good idea to keep a few on hand, even if Lucy just uses them for practice with Saggitarius. He'd have to adjust for the updated technology against his arrows. ]

I don't think anyone on this ship will condone killing our enemies - the First is right. [ She's... not really comfortable with being -feared- either for that matter. ]

As long as you don't kill them, I guess... it's all right. But will you be able to keep them in control if something happens? [ Pirates can't be completely stupid - they might target the wizard creating those things. ]

[ He knows they wouldn't, and he'd regret doing it later. But, well... self-defense is self-defense. ]

Deliora and Lullaby were left with the last order I had ever given them. [ Which, unfortunately, wasn't exactly a benevolent order. ] I couldn't control them from that far away. I regret leaving them behind like I did, but it can't be helped now. As long as I'm nearby... it would have to do what I say.

[ Yeah but can YOU control yourself if something were to happen? ... she shook her head a little. ]

Good enough -- ah! Look! I think they're giving up.

[ Perhaps they realized they were just wasting their ammo. ]

[ Probably. Zeref pauses his channeling of his Living Magic spell, to focus on them more closely. His eyes narrow. ]

They might try a boarding next. Stay focused.

You don't seriously think -

[ K'tink! Lucy's caught off guard from whatever she was going to say when one of the pirates indeed throws a hook over to try and swing across to their ship. ]

Okay, maybe they would.

[ She grabs the rope and pulls to unhook it, but three more only follow. Dratski! She and Aries can yank off only so many at a time. ]
