Welcome to our first Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where players can test out their characters' voices, try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

[Despite the deadpan quip, he switches to phoenix form and hops lightly on Thatch's shoulders, making sure to keep his vocal chords just enough human, though they'd still sound like a parrot's, rather than his usual human voice.]

Thatchy want some hairspray? [Swishes that long as hell tail.]

The pretty one obviously [though Marco was already a bird at this point but that didn't matter. He reached up and scritched under Marco's chin]

And it's pomade, damnit. Pomade. Only amateurs use hairspray. That shit damages, but pomade keeps my hair nice and luxurious.

[he absently combed it in place just in case there were any ladies present]

Which you'd know if you actually took care of that wraggly mop on top of your head. Or maybe it's just a small pet?

[Marco chirps and shivers, swishing his tail more as he leans into the scritches, but eventually he gets annoyed with Thatch and lightly headbutts him.]

I take care of it, I just don't obsess, yoi.

Out of the amusement from a sparkling parrot? I don't see that happening, but if anyone can make it work, it'd be you, yoi.
