Welcome to our first Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where players can test out their characters' voices, try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

Kurt laughs a little, rubbing his neck.]

I'm not exactly old, you know.

[As to the question...]

Some hours, but nothing longer than that. I've just been trying to gather information.

[allendsmeat]

[he nods. That's what old people say a lot.]

What kind of information have you found?

[echo_of_light]

[Well, he looks like a kid, so better condense it.]

It seems like there's some sort of object that was broken that we need to put back together. If we do, there's claims it will grant a wish, but there's some danger lurking that we also need to be careful of.

More than nothing, but not as much as it sounds.

[allendsmeat]

Oh it's a mystery treasure. [he nods. He's not really interested in that right now] Do you know any way to find people?

[echo_of_light]

That's a way to put it, yes.

Ah... no, I'm afraid. I'm a healer, not a locator. I suppose I could smell them, if they were around, but...

[allendsmeat]

[he nods] I don't know what any of them smell like. Except Zoro when he hasn't taken a shower for a while. I guess Nami and Robin smell good. And Chopper too, sometimes, when he's been sleeping in the sun for a while.

[he looks at the guy in a vague sort of hope as if this will be helpful]

[echo_of_light]

Ah... sorry. It's like trying to explain a scent to a dog. It doesn't quite work. Better to give something they had.

[allendsmeat]

I don't have anything like that... But you're like a dog? [in that case. He holds out his hand] Shake.

[echo_of_light]

[This... really is a kid, isn't he. Kurt doesn't entirely want to scare him, but a demonstration is always better.

So he'll let his human form slip away, fur and claws and teeth and about a foot or two of height replacing it. That done, he places his clawed hand in Luffy's, gripping it and shaking it.]

[allendsmeat]

HOOO! THAT'S REALLY COOL! YOU'RE AN AWESOME GUY! [and he might be enthusiastically pumping his hand up and down without really thinking about it]

[echo_of_light]

[...Okay, that's a reaction he's not quite gotten before.]

I... thank you?

[allendsmeat]

Hiihiihii Hey! What happens if you get fleas? Is it really bad? Or do you just turn human?

[echo_of_light]

I turn human and take a bath. That generally handles the flea problem.

[He's regained his footing now.]

[allendsmeat]

Yeah but then you have to take a bath. [which sucks] That's pretty tough, old guy. [solemn pat to your shoulder} Hang in there.

[echo_of_light]

I actually don't mind bathing at all. Being clean feels good.

[He'll not bother correcting him this time.]

[allendsmeat]

Yeah but then you have to get into the water. [and just in case the guy doesn't get this] And use soap.

[echo_of_light]

[He laughs.]

Yes, I know. It takes a while with fur, but you feel better afterwards, so I hardly mind.

[allendsmeat]

That's true! hahaha I really like bath parties so it's kind of the same thing. Otherwise it's boring.

[echo_of_light]

I see. Well, I suppose as long as you're taking a bath... a party is a good way to do it.

[allendsmeat]

[he nods] It's the best way!

Anyway, I'm going to go find a boat or a barrel. [since he still has people to look for] Good luck, old guy! Don't get fleas!

Good luck to you too. Try not to drown!
